I always enjoy it when a band from a very different genre covers a song in their own style and makes it work. I would love to hear some of your favorites. Here are some of my mine.
The Derailers: "Raspberry Beret". Think Prince meets Buck Owens.

The Gourds: "Gin and Juice". Hillbillys do Snoop and they do it well.

They don't start jammin until about the 2:00 mark
The Replacements: Just about anything. Their live shows were full of bad, drunken covers of whatever popped into their heads (I once heard them do Free Bird). This could be pretty annoying if you paid to hear them and weren't in the mood for it, but it also could be funny as hell.
