anyone else play? I'm in a community league...just a catcher who typically grounds out to 2nd and walks back to the dugout.

Lately I've been crushing the shit outta the ball though. Hit it to the wall 4 times in the last 2 games. Not much of a feat for most of you, but damn-near memorable for me.

Anyone else play? What are your greatest memories?

my team is mostly my family...they asked me to play both out of pity and to fill out the roster...but lately I've been the 3rd best hitter on the team...it's effin' sweet.

I've played for 4 years...

-1st year played on a team with all first time players. We went 0-13.
-Second year we joined another league, went 5-12; Also played in the Fall and won the league title with a new team
-Last year Played Sundays and Fridays. Fridays we finished 2nd place in our league, and Sunday we lost in the first round.

This past summer I played Sundays, and than 2 leagues on Tuesdays. On Sundays we lost in the first round. In one league on Tuesdays with a bunch of friends, we won 5 games and lost first round. I played a few games in a Tuesday League at Forest Hills Diamonds and it's ranked the best league in Northern ... Also, NFL Safety Sean Considine played in that league during the lockout.

I'm playing Tuesdays this fall too.. I love playing.

What positions you guys play? I usually play LF or Left Center... But for my Tuesday team I play Shortstop

I did a league once. We played like 9-10 games in 4 weeks.

I played Center Field. Runner up for League's defensive player, and I was okay with the bat. I hit 3 homers on the first game, then I pretty much sucked after that LOL. I stuck with basketball pickup games from then on out. It was a blast while it lasted.

Just finished summer league.

Played LC or SS. Hit first. Was pretty fun. Probably hit .750-.800?

I played for three years in both summer and fall leagues. I wasn't too good on the defensive side but I knew how to handle a bat. Then, on the last out, in the last inning, of the last game of the season, I broke my ankle hustling my ass into second. Haven't played since.

losing a game you should win sucks. I play on the best team in the league, and we got beat by the worst team in the league tonight. :(

I did tag a guy out at home tho...blocked the plate...thought he was gonna truck me...he's a good kid tho...poor kid that I've helped out a few times through school and what not...he slowed down. I looked like a catching machine.

we still lost tho...it sucked.

Let my team down tonight :(

I'm a catcher in our rec league...played 2 years of little league, and that's it...most the guys in the rec league played in high school at least...

We were short on players tonight, so they put me in RF...runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out...a shot hit to the wall...it's tailing bad, and I suck in outfield...get to the spot, spin around, make a stab at the ball and got super lucky...caught it and almost doubled the guy off first to end the game.

Next ball was an absolute rope hit right at me. It started to dive down, and I should've played it off a hop. Instead, I dove, went off my glove and rolled 20 ft behind me.

Game over. We lose. My fault.

awesome.

I need beer.

We got one more week left in my Monday and Tuesday leagues for fall...


I wish I lived in Cali and Florida so I could play year round.

today was the first game of our "fall" league...lol...it was about 45 degrees when the game started.
