What we learned.
The NFL view of POles is much higher than fans views of him. It is hard for fans to ignore wins and losses in judging a GM, but sometimes we have to judge the process more than the results. As it appears the most glaring mistake was Eberflus and that cost the BEars several wins. With Ben JOhnson on board he can take this roster to great heights, and considered them a "sleeping giant".
Warren has done a great job at being the football voice to convince George that going big on a coach is how NFL teams win. I give Warren props for this.
There was a lot of media driven BS: coaches don't get about GM alignment with contracts. If they like the GM they will pick that team. This is evidenced by how the Poles and Balke situation went down. And the Raiders stuff was all just BS from the start.
It also seems the team is all in on going after Tre SMith if he becomes available. So poles is committed to oline this FA period.
