Since his last two less than spectacular efforts, Q has been more than a little hesitant to put Khabibulin between the pipes. With the Hawks playing so well of late, maybe he wants to keep things rolling for awhile or maybe he's buying a little time for Raanta or maybe even buying time for Bowman to find another veteran. Whatever the reason, Crawford is currently on pace to play about 75 games....which will never happen, so the Hawks either need another live body in here or hope Khabibulin can turn it around. I'm not putting a lot of stock into the latter and Im gonna predict that his next start is his last in Chicago unless he pulls off a huge turnaround.

They mentioned this on the broadcast I believe, but the Hawks have 3 games in 4 days coming up this weekend. Khabi MUST play one of those games.

I'm still largely against calling up Raanta at any point this season. I believe he needs to spend this whole season as the No. 1 guy in Rockford, then maybe call him up next year. If Khabi still isn't getting it done by the time we turn to 2014, then I think it's on Bowman to search for another veteran backup to bring in via trade, free agency, whatever.

LOL no.

Raanta isn't even an option right now. Could he be later in the season? maybe, but the guy has been getting sauced as of late after his more then impressive open to the season. Something tells me Habby has an injury and that's why he isn't playing. This is the NHL. You will never know the truth about injuries until the seasons over.

I pretty much agree with everything DMelt says.

I don't have to type as much now.
