I just realized something...

20 years ago Mike won his first ring against the Lakers in the process dethroning Magic.

20 years later, it feels like it's Derrick's turn to do the same and in the process dethrone Kobe.

is it destiny? IDK but it sure does feel like it. I mean, dating back to Rose being drafted it kind of feels like its meant to be.

1.7% chance of winning the lotto and we do, drafting the hometown kid who brings this franchise back to relevancy. Back to back first round exits. Then the whole free agency saga. The Bulls were obviously the best option for any of the available big named FAs but they all went to Miami. Then Rose asks why cant he be MVP? Why cant we come out of the East? It just all feels like it has the makings of a great story.

It would be awesome to see history repeat itself. But i would like to see us play the Thunder. Durant vs Rose, both of these guys are very humble superstars who are about winning.

I just want to see us win the East, then we can talk finals.

I'd rather have Kobe & Phil on the other side of the court. It'd be so ill if Phil didn't get his fourth 3-peat because of the team (organization) he got his first 3-peat with. That, and to piss off Kobe ofc. Can't stand him.

Speak of kobe, Does anyone else see Rose's efficiency in terms of scoring closer to kobe than lebron/wade?

it has been but i think that's just the role of rose on our team, he has to be a volume scorer. if he took it to the basket with more consistency instead of settling for threes, he'd have better percentages. he's shooting 47% from two and it'll only improve as he gets more foul calls, like a wade or james. kobe doesn't shoot a good percentage cuz of shot selection, and that's not as much a problem with rose.
