or IF LeBron comes here and we win a championship, the media will instantly play it off as "well, he couldn't win without Derrick Rose." Y'know? That's how the media is. Swinging on his nuts one second, then turns on him when he accomplishes something. I could be wrong, though... :bizarro:

basketball is a team game. No single player is going to win an NBA Championship... the floating heads can talk all they want... and say whatever their editors tell them to say. And their brain-washees will buy all of it.

No they wont say that. They know Lebron is the best player on the team and it takes more than one guy.

MJ couldn't win 1 without Scottie. Bryant couldn't without either Shaq or Pau. The last superstar HOFer player to win a 'ship without a co-superstar/HOFer was Hakeem Olajuwon. I can't even think of the one before that...

I have to disagree. If Lebron wins one with the Bulls it will called "The Kings Coronation" or something like they did a few years ago when they went to the finals. But i see your point, the haters would be out there.

Wasn't Clyde Drexler on that team?

Not in 1993-94. Rockets won the first one without the Glyde completely.

He was traded mid-season in the 1994-95 season. He wasn't even the same player back then either after his last injury..

Plus it helped that John Starks went 2-18 from the field*(No, that's not a misprint) in Game 7 and Riley refused to pull him.

Either way that Houston team was a definite rarity but even still guys like Maxwell, Thorpe etc were very good players at that point in time in the NBA. But I see your point.

If LeBron came here and we won a title this year, LeBron would get a majority of the credit. We were a 82-82 team, not including 4 playoff wins w/ Rose. They will call LeBron the missing piece but that it wouldnt have been possible without Rose, Noah, etc. Its kind of known that you need a big three these days to win it all.

I remember when we acquired John Starks in a midseason trade in like 2002ish... that was so weird to see him in a Bulls' uni after all the nasty shit he pulled against us, Lol. People wanted him gone. Notably- Johnny Red Kerr.

Man... if the Bulls hope of winning a championship... Rose definitely needs to keep improving his game. He's not quite where he needs to be defensively and he could be more consistent with his decision-making. I really don't want to leave Rose off the hook here because the guy has a lot of growing to do. He could definitely gain some consistent range toward his 20-24' jumpshot and could be a better passer and rebounder. If Chicago wins a title with LeBron, it will only be because Rose improved his game and took it to superstar level.

Rose has to get from young rising star

to top 5 or top 3 elite PG

and he can do that by continuing improving his overall game especially 3 point shooting and defense, something taken care of by hinrich last year at PG/SG, and also improving his distributing abilities, however i wonder if lebron would still get the amount of assists he did in clev if he came to chi with a good pg like rose...would be interesting to see how assists are managed
