To make a damn trade? I know its' early, but we need to turn this shit around, piss turrible lately.

We have cap space, let's use it.

Two games is awfully early. Especially since how a team plays in November usually has little bearing on how it plays when it truly counts. And especially early since it is come off the heels of a nice 4 game winning streak. A move could help in the long run, but I think the Hawks will be fine until closer to the deadline when they might have a chance to land a true top 6 forward with their prospects and cap room.

Are you referring to the recent winning streak? The 12 - 5 - 3 record? (Most likely 12 - 6 - 3 after tonight). The first place positioning in the west a quarter through the season?

Honestly, a whole lot of freaking out over nothing. The Caps got lit up tonight and I can remember the Wings getting destroyed earlier this season. Both still good teams and no reason to freak out.

The Blackhawks have the cap space and can make a move if it is right for this team. Making a trade because of a two game losing streak is ridiculous.

And right there I think you hit the nail on the head. We are missing our second best defenseman right now. Getting him back will make a huge difference on how this team performs. Thankfully though if a long term injury strikes this team we actually have the cap space to go out and get a guy to fill that hole for what the first time in what four years?

I realize it is tough. The Blackhawks, or any team in the NHL, should never lose by a score of this. It happens though and you just have to have a 24 hour rule - let the loss sink in for 24 hours and then forget about it/move on.

Blackhawks are missing Seabrook and Frolik, one of their top 2 dmen and one of their better defensive forwards.

The Blackhawks have the cap space, draft picks and prospects to make trades when necessary. No need for a knee jerk reaction. If they make one tomorrow, then fine - but I'm sure it is one that the organization thinks of from top to bottom.

Just be happy the Hawks have till Wednesday for their next game.

EDIT: And I will say, a trade wouldn't surprise me. Sending Olesz down and now 3 days off, I could see a trade of sorts happening.

I read some guy's comment somewhere ( which can well be meaningless ) suggesting that the team got hit with a wave of the flu. No idea if that is ture or not, but having played once with it -and not in back to back nights - I can verify that it isn't much fun.

The Hawks will trade if they have to. That's why the cap space is a good thing. Lets say that some center is available around the deadline, we can get a good deal and can still afford him. It's never bad to have cap space.

There's nothing to really upgrade at the moment.

If you're point is that there is no glaring hole on the roster that has to be addressed immediately, I agree with you. But any team can always use an upgrade.

That's what I was referring to. It is still very early there are no buyers or sellers yet. If something comes along to help the team I'm sure stan will do it.

Okay because I am hoping that we can grab another top 6 forward for the stretch run when it comes to the deadline. Not because we desperately need it but because it would make this team that much better to have another legitimate scoring threat.
