After miami's less than spectacular start, does anyone believe melo is going to be deterred from joining a big 3?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Carolina Hurricanes
  1. Duke Blue Devils
I think he would be deterred from going there just because putting 3 superstars on a team is kind of iffy....let a lone 4.

i meant us. Rose and boozers aren't elite stars, but rose is growing into something spectacular. If he can get his efficiency to go up, and i think it will with the arrival of boozer and a starting sg. We'll have rose and booze taking a lot of good shots, could we add a third elite scorer to that list and maintain good chemistry/efficiency?

Miami is having a hard time doing it. Boston seems to do seamlessly. LA is an efficient/amazing team; but pau/bynum seem to pout at times.

I don't think Melo will have a problem playing with Rose and Boozer. What Melo does on the court really doesn't conflict, and probably will enhance Rose and Boozer's offensive attack. Unlike the Heat, the Bulls will still have team balance if they go for that third star.

The problem with the Heat is very simple. No matter how many stars is on a roster, the key to team success will always be team balance. I think they will improve when Miller returns and give the team another 3 point shooter. But that team will not be as good as they should be until they get a couple of productive centers on their roster. The Heat are dying for a couple big bodies that can rebound, block shots, and bring a overall physical presence on the court. If they don't get that and maybe one more shooter, the Heat will continue to struggle.

I think the bigger problem is that Wade and James are virtually the same player. Now, if the Bulls did have Melo, though I'm completely tired of this argument, running out a five-some of Rose (driver and distributor), Melo (scorer), Korver (shooter), Boozer (rebounder and low-post scorer) and Noah (rebounder, distributor and finisher)...that's unguardable. However, if we have no bench, it won't matter.

I don't think so, Miami had questions once they put their big 3 together and the question wasn't the big 3. I questioned their bench scoring and defense, particularly at the 5. Teams such as Boston and Los Angeles Lakers have been successful with their "Big 3" and some will say "Big 4" if you include Rondo with Boston and Bynum with the Lakers.

I personally wouldn't want Melo here for the reasons stated in my thread...

None are the caliber of Miamis big 3, especially Wade and Bron. The differences between us and Miami are that Miamis struggles are coming from the lack of solid play out of their C, PG and bench w/o Haslem and Miller. Obviously we have strong C and PG play, probably the best PG-C combo in the league, no? Our bench isnt great either but our starting 5 with Melo is hands down better than Miami 1-5 with 4 all star caliber players.

The other thing that separates Melo from Wade and LeBron is that Melo doesnt have the ego that the other two have and i think playing with Chauncey Billups is a big part of that. He's differed to Mr. Big Shot on many occasions. When its down to the wire, Wade and LeBron just look out of sync because they both want to be the guy to take over and win the game.

A couple other quick things and im sure you guys are already tired of reading my bullshit. Our team just has too much heart and fire. Without Boozer, we're never out of a game even when down big on the road against some of the leagues best. You havent seen that from Miami. They are blowing 20 point leads all the time. And the last thing, Miami has a big bulls-eye on their back because of the way those guys handled everything. They are getting everyones best every night because they want to prove that you cant just throw a team together and win. I know thats how the Bulls would look to some extent but its really not the same, considering which players have come together. ya know? ehhhh im bored, waiting for football to start.
