As long as Pat Riley is there, he doesn't like the mediocre years. He WANTS to Build a Championship team ASAP and doesn't fool around much.

If Miami is Indeed need for players that can make them big time contenders next year, who else can make them better than Hinrich + Deng + Tyrus + Picks??? for Beasley and Whatever garbage they give us to make salary work (James Jones, Quinn, etc maybe Haslem?).

Miami's lineup next year:

Hinrich
Wade
Deng
Tyrus
O'neal

They would be SUPERB defensive team and offensively awesome as well.

Now with Bulls, I hope they resign Gordon.

Bulls lineup next year:

Rose
Gordon
Salmons
Beasley
Noah

Anybody's buying this??? Maybe it's just me but I think Riley would pull the trigger and so should we.

I really doubt Riles would pull the trigger on a move that sends out Beasley for our players not named Derrick Rose.

General question: Is it possible to trade Deng with his huge contract?

Pat Reilly doesn't like mediocre but will trade for the kings of mediocrity in Deng, Hinrich and TT? Not only that but give up 20million in cap space in 2010. I can't see it happening.

Gotta agree with Stig on this one. I say if Kirk gets shipped anywhere it's more than likely Portland, because Prittchard has a massive hardon for Capt. Kirk.

Well, he has his own man to worrry about first of all and that team right now (even with Beasley) is just not good at all.

Yeah, Hinrich and Deng by themselves are no star players but they are PERFECT compliment to Wade. They also don't lose all that much when Wade rests coz Hinrich and Deng combined are MUCH better - especially the defensive minded Eric Spo.

Beasley is just not going to start as long as Haslem is there and as long as their coach is still Eric Spo. If they are not moving forward and getting better, they might lose Wade in 2010 themselves.

What good is cap room if 1) you might not be able to resign your own guy, 2) any other big free agent.

If they can get this good deal right now, why wouldn't they go for it?

I wish, but no. Riley publicly said he turned down a Amare+fillers for Beasley+fillers deal, so there's no way he does it for some (needed) depth.

No, it was suns who turned it down and then Riley said they tried but didn't go through?

Something to that nature.

I'd love to have Beasley. He's such a skilled player. Our offense is suited where a big man with perimeter skills would make a killing. We get our big men some open shots, and a big that could stretch the defense with a three point shot would be great.

A core of Rose-Gordon-Beasley-Noah? Sign me up. You have guys like Salmons and Brad Miller as complementary role players. Could sign a guy like Ron Artest for the MLE to strengthen our perimeter defense and maybe start, with Salmons as 6th man, and then use the LLE for a backup point guard.

If the Heat are willing to trade Beasley in a trade that doesn't involve Rose, Gordon, or Noah, you'd be insane not to do it. I think I'd trade Noah for Beasley, but it would be very begrudgingly.
