There are some songs by them that I haven been listening to for a very long time and I never really bothered looking up the lyrics. So after looking them up for a few songs, I realized that their lyrics are pretty fuckin weird. None of it makes any sense to me... It's like random words thrown together hahaha.

RHCP is mainly a cover band.

Joke's aside, lyrics aren't everything. I love RHCP, and what they have accomplished for Pop-Rock is awesome. Great music.

Yo Mozart, your lyrics suck. /hyperbolic sarcasm

You just gotta appreciate it for what it is. You don't criticize a Tarantino movie for not being a children's educational movie, or a Picasso for not being very photoreal.

Anyways. None of this makes sense. Thus, why it's great.

I like 'em too. I just didn't know if there was some deep meaning behind the lyrics that told a story of some shit hahaha.

Your guess is as good as mine. But damn, you get bonus points. This is a good question. Haha, you're going to have me analyzing RHCP songs now.

I like quite a few RHCP songs and never really think about the lyrics. Now that I'm reading them, it does seem random lol. I do think there is meaning to peel back though.

Is there a purpose to the band Nickelback, besides shitty music?

Well, "Under the Bridge" is totally about drug addiction, so there's that.

Yeah...well...kinda.

Seems to me to be more about the aftermath of said addiction and the disassociation Kiedis felt trying to stay sober while his bandmates weren't.

Most of Kiedis' lyrics through "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" were mostly about sex and partying....anything after that I couldn't tell you because I stopped listening once they dropped that turd called "One Red Hot Minute".

Flea was pretty good in this movie about roving punk rock squatters I saw once. He was best friends with a rat. Pretty kewl.

He's better in another movie... When he plays a German nihilist

well there is a lot of whacked out lyrics. im 34 and been rockin these fucks forever. their early shit was highly drug induced so I can see where some songs are whack. there is one definite thing you will get from them...they really love cali. now under the bridge is in my head.
