I would really love to see us get Monta Ellis, I'm playing around in the ESPN Trade Machine to work out a realistic deal, who else likes the idea and is there anyway it realistically happens?

Ellis is on the soft block, so we would have to give up a lot. Iggy is also on the block, and I think we would have an easier time trading for him.

The Bulls would have to up the value of our outgoing players, and the only guys eligible are Bogans, but nobody is going to take Bogans for over 5mil, which is essentially what we need to do, to make either Ellis or Iggy mathematically possible without making another gaping large hole at another position.

Thibs wouldn't want such an unwilling defender and selfish player to pair in the backcourt with Rose.

I disagree on Ellis. You have to bear in mind that he plays on a team that runs a 4 guard line-up for 10-15 minutes per game. Ellis plays his heart out, and yes, it took some time. He has started to mature a LOT. This time last year, I would be in full agreement with your statement, but not anymore. Ellis can play some very good D and be very unselfish.

The Bulls would be more desperate for a SF than they ever were for a SG if they traded Deng for Ellis. And it wouldn't even be an ideal fit for the team at the 2 either.

^ Agreed, also Deng has done well guarding LeBron as well so I don't see why you would let some guy like him go.

Is there a way? Absolutely. But it's probably too much to give up because of salary matching and GS probably wouldn't even accept it anyway.
