Oh we we need a new OL, QB and possibly another WR
Is there anyone that thinks the Bears can be Super Bowl contenders next year?

it's like 90% of the same personnel, they went from top 3 to the bottom half of the league. they aged that much in 2 years?

Might want to revisit those numbers. I assume you're talking defense.
1. No it's not 90% of the same personnel. (But I get your point, a lot are the same)
2. No they're not bottom half the league.
2 years can be a long time in the NFL.
Yes, Fangio is better than Pagano. But certain players are simply not as good as they were too.

Robert Quinn would have to return to form because the Bears still haven't had a third pass rusher next to Mack and Hicks. Getting Goldman back next season is also huge for the front 7. Also Trevathan has looked better since a horrible start.
On offense keeping Robinson is a must. Mooney, Kmet and Mustipher must continue to develop plus they'll need to draft rookie contributors.
Still not sure what they'll do at QB with limited resources. Guessing the first or second rounder goes QB.
In classic Bears fashion it hard seeing a total collapse because the defense is too good paired with a good rushing attack. Its also hard to see them being SB contenders because the offense sucks largely to poor QB play.

I just hope they expand the playoffs next year, too. I think the Bears would have a legit shot at the 12th seed.

No. They have a mental midget at QB. And a coach who cannot improve him. It's over. Rookie QB's never go to the Super Bowl. We are at minimum two years away from being a serious contender.
I do believe the Bears have special pieces on offense. For as bas as Pace has botched the QB position, Mooney, Monty and Kmet can be built around. If they can somehow get Arob for another four years, ditch Miller and Wims and draft a QB worth a damn, it might be interesting in 2022.
