LeBron decided to go to '6' for the 2010-11 season...even if he was staying in Cleveland....and he ends up in Miami....where 23 was retired as a showing of respect to MJ?

Anyone think this has been in the making since the Summer Olympics a couple years back?

Or am I just coming up with a conspiracy theory?

FTR, I am content with LBJ in Miami...and I'm not all hurt like many here appear to be...

I believe this was in the making but whether or not it was Miami I'm not sure. Its possible, but I think these guys wanted New York (A bigger market) but learned their management is terrible. (Maybe LeBron knew that last year though).

well i have heard that lebron bosh and wade did want to play somewhere together after their experience in the 08 olympics when all 3 were on the court the us team did exceptionally opposed to when they weren't..im thinking it was still in those guys minds and when miami had all that cap space open...they realized that that was the place they could all play together and lebron couldnt get anyone in cleveland and he didn't like filling in jordan's shoes:rolleyes: and didnt listen to lebron's demands for unecessary benefits....so when bosh and wade went to miami together..lebron saw the opportunity to make the redeem team trio on the NBA hardwood and he took that chance..

did he ultimately ruin his "legacy"? Yes..he wont be compared to jordan kobe or bird or any other player that has stayed with their team

however he is most certainly not the first great player to move teams and win championships on the new team(ex. wilt)

still i dont think the NBA has seen anything like this

so in some ways it may have been planned....and the opportunity showed itself and lebron took it...

or maybe its the more simple answer..that lebron was paying "respect to jordan" and took number 6 because thats the number he wears besides 23...(USA team) but the USA-jersey change-redeem team trio plan does fit

i could see that

No, youre not wearing a tinfoil hat. This whole thing was a farce. But lets not forget that Wade is also involved with this and he's equally a fraud.
