Noeisi is pitching a gem tonight. Should have a no hitter going except for a dink single between Eaton and De Asa. What I like that he is doing is that he isn't nibbling but rather going after hitters. A few games ago, Hawk and Stone were talking about great pitchers not "wasting pitches". This is something that I absolutely believed when I was pitching and coaching. I absolutely HATE when pitchers nibble and intentionally try and get a guy to chase. Make a quality pitch every pitch. This certainly doesn't mean that you pitch it over the heart of the plate but you have to try to make a quality pitch. Too many of these guys get ahead 0-2, 1-2, whatever and the next thing that you know, it is 3-2 and they end up walking them or serve up a cookie to try and not walk them. It drives me bat shit.

since noesi has been stretched out as a starter he has been very serviceable. i thought he would last 2 starts and be DFAd

I know I'm torn about this. We are not that far out of the wild card but at the same time I really hope the white sox dont fall into that way of thinking and still stick to their plan to rebuild with trades.
