It's truly amazing how things change in a month.

One full-time got let go for saying a racial slur at my manager.

Everyone used to joke around with him, and have a good time.

Now two women are taking his place. Now no one likes the new employees.

Today, when he came back in the store, everyone was like ZOMGZ! Shouldz we callz derz copz and stuffz. What really made me sick was full-time coworkers who he worked with were just as cowardly. I'm not expecting them to sob and hug him, but show some respect.

I said hello and he gave me a wink as he left the store. He treated me with respect and I will do as long as he doesn't try to damage the store.

I just hate when people change their attitude to kiss-ass and try and save face for the manager. I feel bad for this employee. He doesn't have a college degree or any other work experience. It wasn't all his fault either.

I just hope this guy falls on his feet again. He looked terrible today.

I hate politics in the workplace.

I remember it was a year ago when we closed together for the first time. He was always complementary of my work, and he was a hard worker. It sucks that politics got in the way of this guy trying to make a living.

You'll find that it exists in any job you'll have, Fisch. It's unfortunate that managers generally don't give a level playing field. They play favorites, they look for reasons to irritate people. I've always tried to work hard, always stay busy and look to get better at my job every single day.

When I tell people to, "Make it count," a lot of times they think it's me being lame or cheesy. Honestly, I take it to heart. If I can't tell myself that I improve, then I feel like it's a wasted day.

So your Special person friend got fired for being an idiot and saying racist shit at work... and you feel bad for him? It's not brain surgery to refrain from saying racist shit in your workplace...

Retail sucks, particularly female managers in retail.

I did it 20 years ago, was fired after 90 days for refusing to wear a santa hat...among other offenses.
