I keep laughing at everyone getting all worked up about top 30 visits assuming the Bears will automatically pick those players. Check out last years 17 top 30 visits that I could find. The Bears didn't draft any / not one of the 17 players brought in and most of them were available when the Bears had picks. I think the Bears are trying to drum up the possibility of drafting Jalen Carter so that they could trade down. He would probably be the highest rated prospect left for teams to trade up for. Why would you tell everyone you love a player that much.

1. Chris Oladokun, QB, South Dakota State

Considering the team wants to trade Nick Foles they will need a third or fourth quarterback to be in the mix with Ryan Willis. The team is at least gauging where they stand on this quarterback.

2. Esezi Otomewo, EDGE, Minnesota

Most services have Otomewo as a sixth or seventh-round pick and considering the Bears have three day-three picks, it does make sense that they would bring him in. Otomewo also was invited to the NFL combine but did not work out, so the team is probably getting a sense of his health and fitness level, as well as getting to see him move around in person.

3. Chig Okonkwo, TE, Maryland

Is it telling that the day after they brought in Okobnkow they signed Ryan Griffin to be their third tight end? Okonkwo feels like less of a need now but would be a day three pick anyways. We wrote a draft profile on him.

4. Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M

This is the first major candidate in play for pick 39 that was reportedly invited to Halas Hall. Green is multi-position and nasty, and another player we did a write-up on. Chicago Bears fans have to love seeing them hoping for an offensive lineman to fall to 39.

5. Brian Asamoah, LB, Oklahoma

In our Brian Asamoah write up it became noticeable that Asamoah has a lot of the same traits as Kwon Alexander, a linebacker that Bears LB coach Dave Borgonzi drafted when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Asamoah would likely be a candidate at pick 71, or perhaps a trade back from 71.

6. Tyquan Thornton, WR, Baylor

One of the fastest players in the NFL combine is set to visit Halas Hall. It is pretty easy to understand the intrigue here as a Day three-wide receiver with 4.2 speed would be a nice bet to pair with Justin Fields.

7. Jalen Nailor, WR, Michigan State

The team is starting to bring in more wide receivers with Nailor being the second pass-catcher to reportedly get the invite to Halas Hall.

8. Daniel Hardy, EDGE, Montana State

Daniel Hardy played defensive end but weighs just 235 pounds. The Chicago Bears are likely bringing him in to get background on him as a potential UDFA, but also to see if he can transition to playing the SAM.

9. Damarri Mathis, CB, Pitt

The Pitt cornerback is scheduled to visit Halas in a few days. Mathis missed out on the 2020 season, but had a strong 2021 season, and had a great NFL combine to get back onto the NFL draft radar.

10. Danny Gray, WR, SMU

Gray dominated last season and flashed elite speed at the combine. He is a bit smaller but would fit in great as a field stretcher.

Local Visits

The Chicago Bears brought these players in but because they are local to the team in college or high school, they do not count against the 30 team visits.

11. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

The Chicago Bears are having the star wide receiver from Aransas into Halas Hall. The odds are that he will be a first-round pick, but his stock has dropped a bit so the team appears to be doing their due diligence.

12. Logan Hall, DL, Houston

The Chicago Bears were reportedly at his Pro Day, and now are bringing him in for a pre-draft visit. The interest here is very real.

13. Jake Hummel, LB, Iowa State

A likely UDFA candidate.

14. Christian Harris, LB, Alabama

15. Alec Pierce, WR, Cincinnati

Kerby Joseph, S, Illinois

We did a write-up on Kerby Joseph and how he may fit with the Chicago Bears. It is smart to bring in the top prospect from Illinois, but he may be gone by the 71st pick.

Eric Johnson, Missouri St
