I've been arguing for awhile that the Bulls should start Ronnie Brewer over Keith Bogans, but this argument was really that I thought it was time to stop playing Bogans with the realization that the Bulls would not start Korver....

I like Brewer starting games and Korver closing them.

I'd rather have Korver come off the bench and be the second unit's scorer. His defense isn't really going to suffice against most starting 2 guards either.

Like DCguy said, Korver should be in at the end, let Brewer start.

have you been watching korver's game? he's struggling, and korver is a really good shooter. The guy shouldn't be the focal point of the offense. He's not ben gordon like where he can create his own shot and make ridiculous shots.

he's a really good shooter that deserves to be lost in the offense. The guy is a better shooter than his stats suggest he is. And he's making ridiculous shots. It makes you wonder whats wrong. is it his looks, role, or injury.

korver changed his role to be a scorer off the bernch. With the lame athleticism of the summer league it worked really well, but it's not working well in the nba. The increased attention and increased athleticism has forced korver to take a lot of tough shots. He's struggling in that role.

I agree we need a bench scorer, but korver is not that guy. Let him play with rose. THe defenders have to stay close to both korver and rose of offense. korver gets better shots and rose does too. Suffer whatever happens on defense.

No you DON"T suffer whatever happens on defense. That is why Bogans has been out there. Korver sucks on defense. And Rose is inadequate also. Perimeter defense can't be subpar if you are going to beat the top tier teams in this league.

Agree somewhat. Korver is an awful defender but Bogans hasn't been lights out in the department either & he gives you absolutely nothing on offense. Brewer should be starting over him if its the defensive route you'd rather go. But Korver's D isn't awful enough that it will completely kill us if he starts. My vote is for Brewer to start. He's just as strong a defender, & gives us another ball handler who can push the break along with Rose. He's 100% now & it's time to put Bogans back on the bench.

Rose isn't great on defense, and korver isn't scalabrine. He's not getting us killed out there. Plus not too many teams have a kobe and wade. I'm fine with korver guarding seflosha etc.

If you need defense sub in defense with brewer.

If not, let brewer start. korver's offense is better with rose and boozer though.

Brewer should be starting. Korver should remain as the deadly weapon off the bench.

Though Korver is struggling hes still doing good off the bench... Thats where I would leave him. Let him be the second units scorer... I am in favor of starting Brewer though over Bogans though..

HELL NO!!! His defense is HORRIBLE, Korver has to be one of the worse defensive players in the NBA...UGH! I think he is better off the bench

It's really who finishes the game rather than who starts, so if you need offense at the end of games, go with Rose, Boozer, Korver, Noah, and Deng/Watson and if you need defense go with Brewer, Taj, Noah, Watson/Rose, and Deng/Bogans. Korver isn't that bad on defense for an unathletic white guy, but he won't be guarding a main scorer unless it's off a switch anyway, so it won't matter most times.

naw Korver defense always been bad, I personally don't think he is "unathletic", he moves and jump very well...he just sucks at Defense and he always has, but he does give the effort

He certainly gets a lot of blocks for a bad defender then. xD Remember that one on Grant Hill? He's also blocked LeBron while he was in Utah which is just a hilarious thought. xD

this is what I have been saying to all my friends. We need to start Kyle Korver, but unfortunately thibs has made it known that he isn't going to change Bogans from the starting lineup.

Korver is NOT an effective shooting guard... He is way too slow to handle the Nate Robinson's and Monta Ellis's on defense... and has zero slashing ability... we are better off having Brewer start and Bogans back him up (in very limited minutes). Then have Korver back up Deng at the SF position.

I don't think he should start…they need his shooting with the 2nd unit.

I think they should try it. I think with Rose, Boozer, and Noah he could stretch the defense with his outside shooting

Honestly, I like this starting lineup:

G - Rose
G - Brewer
F - Korver
F - Boozer
C - Noah

2nd unit:

G - Watson
G - Bogans
F - Deng
F - Gibson
C - Asik
