I was talking to Rami and CubsDevil 'bout this in the chat, and they both agreed it may be a good idea. What do you guys think about Allen Iverson becoming involved in the Bulls' rotation on the bench? He's gonna be 36 I believe, but can still be a prolific scorer as he's known to be. I also believe he'll be a FA since he only signed a 1-year with the Sixers.

He wants to play for a contender. If we sign James, i can see him getting on board for the vet min. I wouldnt mind but i would make a few moves before i bring him in. But if he wants more than the min, i say take a hike because we could find better guards to come off of the bench. He's just not that scorer anymore.

I wanted him last year when this was rumored, I love what AI brings to the table and he is a veteran so why not.

I would only sign him for a discout or a low contract, 1 year 3 million or something.

Also AI does not want to come off the bench, that's why he went to the Griz because he would start.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Arizona Wildcats
if he was ok coming off bench and took vets minimum, then why not?

I don't know what I said exactly in the chat but here's what I think.

Iverson is the type of player that could be the 6th man of the year. But I honestly don't believe he is willing to accept being anything less than an NBA starter AND the team's main playmaker. He is way too stubborn to accept anything less than that...

So... my short answer is no... I don't want him on the Bulls. Maybe if the guy would wake up and realize that it's not 2000-2004 anymore... but he's not waking up...

I mean if we has no choice and he would sign for the min, why wouldn't u not sign him? But why would he make an comeback to come off the bench for the league min? He wouldn't.

yeah he has good career numbers, but he is a ball hog, and every team he has been to the team hasn't done that good with him.

only when he was with the sixers of course back when they were good.

Iverson used to want to be the main playmaker AND number 1 option. When he went to Denver, he settled for being the #2 option and main playmaker... averaged a career high 8.something assists.

I think now he wants to be a starter no matter what. He was the team's main playmaker in his short stint back in Philly last year (for the time that he was actually there). But he is not doing that with the Bulls... I don't know if it's a good idea to have him on the same team as Rose.

You act like you're the one making the decision whether or not to sign him.
