Alright, let's see if we can count all of the incidents from the career of Isaiah Rider, the Come Back Kid.
I know there's so no way we could possibly list them all but if we were to count as many as we could the over/under would have to be around 157 wouldn't it?
In truth, it's tragic how a guy with so much talent could have such a short and sad career because he couldn't stay out of trouble.
This guy has a record longer than Elwood Blues...
Is there anyone else in all of sports or even the civilized world for all that matter who comes close to this guy!?
UNLV:
-Arrested for abusing a drive-through employee at Jack in the Box and throwing a milkshake at them.
Minnesota Timberwolves
-Convicted of fifth-degree assault after kicking the female manager of a sports bar.
-Arrested for marijuana possession.
- During his arrest for marijuana he was found with an illegal cell phone and had been altering it to charge calls to someone else's bill
- Arrested three weeks later for gambling in Oakland.
Portland Jailblazers (Team Captain)
-Cited and convicted of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
-Suspended for a total of 12 games in three years.
- Suspended 3 games for spitting at a heckler.
Atlanta Hawks
- Parked his car in the reserved parking lot space at Philips Arena belonging to Atlanta Thrashers head coach Curt Fraser.
- Skipped practices like it was going out of style
- Reports circulate that he smoked wacky tabaccy in an Orlando hotel room. Publicly confronted Dikembe Mutombo, accusing him of ratting him out.
- Fined $200,000 for refusing to attend drug counseling.
- Showed up late for a game in Detroit.
- Requested his release from the team instead of serving a 3-game suspension.
- After his departure the Hawks didn't make the playoffs for 9 more years.
Post-NBA
- Arrested in January 2006 on kidnapping charges.
- Charged with domestic violence and ordered to stay out of Marin City!
- Despite this court order, he was spotted in the area a few weeks later. A Marin County sheriff's deputy confronted him, and while fleeing, Rider hit another car.
- Arrested in Alameda County in late 2006.
- Pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession and evading an officer.
- Sentenced to seven months in jail, 120 hours community service and three years' probation.
- Arrested in January 2008 after a confrontation between a taxi driver and a passenger. Rider was found to be the passenger.
- Arrested on a no-bail warrant for unlawful firearm possession and separate $5,000 warrant for grand theft issued by the Oakland Police Department.
- Arrested in March 2008 for possession of a controlled narcotic substance, disobeying a court order, evading a peace officer, providing false information to a peace officer, and driving on a suspended license.
- Arrested in the Skid Row district of Los Angeles for investigation of auto theft.
