Bears sign RT Kaleb McGary to 4 years 78 million

He's earned a massive contract this off season it's likely the Falcons extend him as they have the cap space but he'll be 28 years old next season and Falcons may choose to draft a tackle as they rebuild as they opted against his fifth year option.

Bears sign C Garrett Bradbury to 4 years 50 million

Stealing Vikings star center and Pro Bowl alternate Garrett Bradbury as they are in cap hell would be bitter sweet

Bears sign DE Dante Fowler to 3 years 25 million

He's a solid pass rusher that's an upgrade over what Bears currently have at the defensive end position. He'll be 29 years old next season with a Suberbowl ring with the Rams and probably look to get his last paycheck in the NFL. He's got some juice left in the tank and shown he can still get to the QB.

Draft

* Bears trade 2023 first round pick #1 to the Seattle Seahawks for 2023 first round pick #3, 2023 first round pick #15, 2023 third round pick, 2024 fifth round pick

Seattle Seahawks draft QB Bryce Young
Houston Texans draft QB CJ Stroud

1 [3] DT Jalen Carter [Georgia] 6'3 300lbs

Carter is an extremely athletic 6-foot-3 and 310 pound defensive lineman who is blessed with freakish attributes. Carter would be a perfect fit as a three-technique defender. Quick enough to spit the A and B gaps, with a lengthy frame to disrupt run plays or pressure the quarterback.

Detroit Lions draft DE Will Anderson Jr
Arizona Cardinals draft DE Myles Murphy
Indianapolis Colts draft QB Will Levis
Atlanta Falcons draft OT Paris Johnson Jr
Carolina Panthers draft WR Quentin Johnson
Philadelphia Eagles draft DT Bryan Breese
Las Vegas Raiders draft OT Peter Skoronski
Houston Texans draft WR Jordan Addison
Pittsburg Steelers draft CB Keele Ringo
Green Bay Packers draft DL Tyree Wilson
Jacksonville Jaguars draft CB Christain Gonzalez

1 [15] WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba [Ohio State] 6'0 190lbs

Smith-Njigba didn’t see much action as he only had 10 receptions on the season but he's still a top WR candidate in this draft. He does need to work on his ability on the outside as he played in the slot with Olave and Garrett Wilson playing outside but he'll improve the team wherever he plays.

2 [] DE Mike Morris [Michigan] 6'6 292lbs

Massive defensive end prospect that's going to be a bit of project but nothing defensive coordinator Eberflus hasn't seen before. He’s not quite the level of prospect as Aidan Hutchinson or Kwity Paye from last year’s draft class of edge prospects out of Michigan, but that’s a very high bar to hit.

orris-edge-michigan-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023.jpg

3 [] OL Luke Wypler [Ohio State] 6'2 285lbs

Sam Mustipher is not the answer at the center position and Lucas Patrick hasn't looked like the guy either. Bears would wise to invest in a replacement in the draft and where better to look than Justin Fields old college center in Luke Wypler he may be too small to start center in the NFL unless he bulks up a little bit or move to the guard position.

1355168699.0.jpg

3 [] RB Devon Archane [Texas A&M] 5'9 185lbs

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Achane lacks the size to be a three-down starter in the NFL, but he could be a backup runner and receiving back and fill the void Tarik Cohen left when he left the Bears.

Round 4, Pick 104: cb Tarheeb Still, Maryland

Round 4, Pick 134: g Clark Barrington, BYU

Round 5, Pick 138: WR Jayden Reed, Michigan State

Round 5, Pick 153: DL Moro Ojomo, Texas

Round 7, Pick 220: LB Darius Muasau, UCLA

Round 7, Pick 259: CB Al Blades, Miami

Why would signing Bradbury be bittersweet?

Also, if we do sign Bradbury, I don't see us using a high-ish draft pick on another center.

He can play center if needed but he's a better fit for a guard in the NFL. I just like that he's well rounded and has chemistry with our QB.

Cody Whitehair is maybe in his last year.

That RECIEVER is too slow he got caught by the entire defense. Hyatt from Tennessee would be a better pick that dude is insane fast and that’s what we need. With all the busted plays because of fields legs we need guys that can run free. Image that guy flaying down the field with a massive long ball

I'm not concerned he's fast enough for the NFL and has other skills that translate look at Cooper Kupp he ran a 4.62, Amon-Ra St. Brown 4.61, Jarvis Landry 4.61.

We have guys that can get the deep ball like Claypool 4.42 40 time and he's 6'4.

Would like this draft a lot, but as a Maryland fan I think Still could be had later. He is talented, but I wouldn't use a 4th on him, he is a penalty waiting to happen.

Exactly, JSN just gets open and is a great hands catcher. He has all the skills to be an elite slot option like Kupp or Armon St. Brown. Rice didn't run the fastest and is the undisputed GOAT. Receivers aren't just about speed.

I think Rakim Jarrett is going to be a steal as well in the draft. Maryland has some really good guys.

Yeah, Rakim is going to be a beast. Locksley is such a good recruiter, this upcoming class is insane. It's weird to think UMD is starting to become known as a football school. I'd also love Taulia as a backup for Fields, he is an absolute gamer.

Depending on the playoffs, Seahawks would be smart to let Geno walk, spend that money on defense and draft one of these top QBs. Sets them up for 5 years low QB contract, offense is tailored for them to have success from the start. This makes sense for both sides.
And I love the OL signings

I think double or triple dipping at DE in FA should happen. Sign this guy and Davenport.

No. his injuries and lack of production mean he may drop out of the first. Now, with Bouton back in the draft, he may fall. This is where you take Bijan, who would have stilll been on the board. He’s basically the receiver JSN is plus a running back that comes along one every 5-10 years. Bijan is light years away a better pick than any of the 1st round WRs. This is a slot heavy draft.
2 [] DE Mike Morris [Michigan] 6'6 292lbs

Interesting. I’ve been liking Zach Harrison for basically the same reasons, just a different dude.

Two backs I like more than Archon, who’s basically a speed guy and possibly the fasted player in the draft: Deuce Vaughn and Keaton Mitchel. I got to watch Mitchel play against Coastal Carolina a couple of nights ago. Both of these backs should be available in the 5th or later and bring way more dynamism than just speed, witch they have in bunches with Mitchel possibly being faster than Archon!

Round 4, Pick 104: cb Tarheeb Still, Maryland

Round 4, Pick 134: g Clark Barrington, BYU

Round 5, Pick 138: WR Jayden Reed, Michigan State

Round 5, Pick 153: DL Moro Ojomo, Texas

I like this guy.

Round 7, Pick 220: LB Darius Muasau, UCLA

Round 7, Pick 259: CB Al Blades, Miami

All around a nice mock off season and draft. It shows work and insight. Keep it up.

That trade with Seattle would be amazing.
Yeah, that's by far the least likely out of the whole scenario. I know people will disagree, but I don't think there's any way the Bears can trade out of the 2-spot and remain in the top 7-8. They definitely won't be able to do that AND snag the #15.

Now, if they got the #1 pick....

There is no way that I would wait until the 15th pick of the draft for my first pick, let alone going for a wide receiver.

SEA is probably my going to re-sign Geno to a big deal. And for some reason SEA has been linked to Carter for awhile now.

SEA isn’t the most likely to trade up imo
