Jason Parks Accepts a Scouting Position with the Cubs

Baseball Prospectus’ prospect guru, Jason Parks has been hired by the Chicago Cubs. Parks announced he was offered and accepted a scouting position with the Cubs late Wednesday night with a farewell letter to his readers on Baseball Prospectus.

Jason Parks is relocating to Arizona and evaluate talent at the professional, amateur and international levels.

Jason Parks said he “is both humbled and honored to join such a storied franchise, a team rich with tradition and sorrow, one on a special trajectory with special hands now steering the ship.”

Parks is a pretty interesting guy. I don't know him personally but he's always struck me as pretty chill. Good for him.
