Do you all think it's a possibility we can get him. I would give up anyone on the roster to get this kid. He's humble and a hard worker. He's definitely tough being his experiences in Chicago and Detroit. The guy is 7'1'' without shoes and can over power defenders. The crazy part is he's not done growing according to his mom. He also has a touch from three point range and around the painted box. He reminds me of Andrew Bynum but the better version. This guy speed and jumping ability is crazy. I know talent and potential when I see it. He's what we're missing right now. Is there any chance we can get him?

He is much more of a project than TT was coming into the league. That being said, I would give up our worse 1st round pick this year for him. He's got great size, athletic ability, a good shot blocker and finishes strong at the rim. If he can put it together he will be good but more likely he is a stromile swift. Still worth a late first in my book.

Stro is a tweener compared to Mcgee. Stro is 6'9'', I'll see if you said Chandler.

McGee's mom is psychotic. Not because of this information, which she would have no way of knowing, but just in general. She goes crazy on people on message forums who talk about McGee.

As a side note, McGee is pretty weak and certainly can't overpower anyone. He's like Andrew Bynum minus about 75 lbs with no post game. Other than the fact that they are both young and 7 feet tall, I don't know of anything they have in common.

McGee is a tremendous athlete, but he's not a basketball player at all. Potential, absolutely, anyone with his athleticism and size has tremendous potential, but he's got miles to go before filling it. He had a hard time getting of the bench of the worst team in the NBA this year.

I don't see the Bulls being ready to take on that kind of project even if we were able to get him for something reasonable. That's not to say that he won't take off at some point down the road, I just don't think that day is within the next 2 years, and I don't see the Bulls looking to take on a big man that's 3 years away and may never get there.

I meant in skill set, not size but Str has very lengthy arms if I remember correct. IMO they play similar games and McGee is not near the rebounder or defender that Chandler is.

First he is much more of a project than Tyrus and second I dont think Wizards would make him available this early.

I would bet they bite on #16 in the draft this year if we wanted to.

Yea this kid reminds me of Ryan Hollins, who was a tall lanky 7 footer who could jump out of the gym and block and dunk with the best in the league. I was hoping he would develop but never lived up to his potential, he now plays in Dallas and gets sporadic minutes at best.

I believe McGee will be the same, rarely do kids who come in to the NBA that skinny can bulk up enough to handle the stronger big men in the league, I cant see this kid ever averaging more than 12 points a game because he is just too raw . I mean this kid is not even getting much playing time at all on arguably the nba's worst team this year

trust me, his mom has pride and he does also. That family takes pride in becoming a factor in basketball history. I know talent when I see it. I believe this kid will be a great one on one defender. Along with a power presence inside. People didn't even know how he looked once the NBA draft came around. Scouts thought he still had that Serge Ibaka type body. No, McGee grew over that 2 months. He definitely make people second guess coming into that lane. Check out his rookie stats. He's a sleeper. I would give up Thomas and that pick for him. I like an Noah PF and Mcgee C front court. Noah IQ is better than Thomas'.

His whole body is the size of one of Bynums arms. He is a nice 7th man off the bench at best for his career.

McGee's combination of size and athleticism makes him really suitable for a youtube mixtape.

I watched about 100 post plays by him in a row, and he's an absolutely pathetic finisher most of the time. He's also an atrocious defender. He's REALLY far away despite having great highlights.

He measured at 6'11 barefoot and 241 at the predraft camp, that makes him a legit 7 footer by NBA standards. He had an absolutely huge standing reach as well, 9'6.5 I believe. That's huge, one of the highest standing reaches in the league.

If physicals and no skill were all it took, then McGee would be a superstar, but he doesn't have the skills yet. Maybe he'll get them, he'll have plenty of chances with his body.

Hopefully he turns out better than the likes of Mohammed Sene and Loren Woods.

I was put off when Givony (I think) mentioned that he thought McGee was one of the worst defenders he'd ever seen on tape. He really emphasized it...like there's a "bad" defender, and then there's Mcgee.

He does get some flashy blocks though (at least against us).
