I was traveling back from out of state yesterday and could not watch the game. Caught most of it on the radio. This guy SUCKS! Yeah he has good enthusiasm and Thayer does a decent job of analysis. But, Joniak is terrible at describing the plays as they happen. I can't tell you how often he doesn't mention if the play was a 2 yard gain or a 10 yard gain. He acts more like a TV play by play where you can actually see what is happening. And half of penalties he never mentions. You hear it through the radio when the ref makes the call. It's pathetic.

I watched the extended highlights when I got home and felt like I watched an entirely different game than what I heard. He never mentioned once how horribly inaccurate Dalton was on some of those throws. Or how wide fucking open some of the Ravens receivers were.

My favorite teams

  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
I can't disagree more. He paints a picture and makes me feel like I'm actually seeing the play. Living in Lions land I listen to Bears radio broadcast often.

I dont know if he's terrible overall but he does have a big flaw in what you mention - i had to drive out to libertyville during start of the 1st quarter and noticed exactly what you said - "how many fucking yards did that play go for Jeff?"\!?"

as a fan of listening to games on the radio, all criticisms of Joniak are the kinds of things I thought of but never took the time to actually bring up. LOL
