Maybe you don't care but...

I decided to visit the website that's promoted on the site and have a few things to say.

If you want a cheap jersey that looks like shit, please visit that site and buy one. I've seen the UC littered with these awful knock-offs, and I'm hoping more people recognize this.
I just figure if you want a name brand REAL jersey, you'd pay for it like you would anything else (car, television).

Jerseys are expensive-- I get it. I just don't want people thinking they're buying the real thing. All of those jerseys are imitations or rip-offs, and the site should be removed from this site.

If you know they're not authentic Reebok products, and you want to support the quite probable use of sweat shop Chinese labor to produce these jerseys-- it's a free country.

I just would like to say you got fooled into buying a cheap knock off-- and it needs to stop. Supporting your team is one thing, supporting this trade is another.

Rant over.

If you want suggestions, PM me or ask.
I want to educate people on the influx of the Chinese knockoff market.

The UC is filled to the brim with people that know no better.
I've seen many knockoffs on eBay as well as respected sites like NHL auctions (which is affiliated with nhl.com).

knockoff
Janathan Toews Premier Home Jersey
Another knockoff site using a real Premiere jersey-- but you'll receive something different. Janathan Toews?

River City Sports, Triple Threat-- hell-- even Kohls sells jerseys that are authentic (not just talking about fight straps).
Check the font on the lettering/numbers.
Check the thickness on the "C" with the tomahawks.
Check how the Indian Head is positioned. Is it canted? Discolored? If so, it's not a Reebok.

Lastly, the price: if it's too good to be true, it's probably a rip-off.

If you go to a cheap jersey site and you expect to get the same thing as the $219.00 authentic jersey, you are a complete moron.

No need to educate, it's more about common sense.

Well, my question is this:
Why is ChiCitySports endorsing a link to knockoffs then?
Does the admin not have control over this?

I buy knockoffs from time to time. Paying a 400% markup on materials, logistics, and labor isn't always the most sensible option. I don't hate on profit and I understand league endorsements and licensing costs money. I just don't understand why "authentic" jerseys are suddenly not subject to creating a large black market of their own to battle their inability to price competitively. It's not the fault of the consumer. Therefore consumers will simply either not buy a jersey at all, or at least they will advertise the teams and players in their own way.

Some knockoffs are pure shit, but others have been an improvement for casual wearing over the authentic/approved. I say this, because I have a mild allergy to certain synthetic fabrics and certain GMO cottons. I can buy jerseys for a fair price that are durable as hell, use the correct patterns and stitching, while wearing the jersey comfortably. But most of the authentic jerseys will make me feel ill if I wear it for an entire day. You do have to research your jersey purchases thoroughly because of the quick-buck sie of the market, but this doesn't mean that you can bundle every knockoff as bad.

The one you refer to in the topic, I would agree, is not a very good knockoff(but it's better than many.) If someone wanted to buy from them, they saw transparency in what they were buying, they are free to buy it.

What is wrong with "knockoffs"?

They are selling a product. They show you the product. The consumer can make a judgement for themselves on whether or not they wish to purchase the product.

Nowhere on CCS does it state that they are 100% authentic. If it said authentic, I would expect this thread to happen but since it doesn't, it's not a concern.

I would buy a "knockoff" anyday over paying 200+ for a jersey, that isn't economical at all. I don't need to pump money into the NFL more than I already do by doing that.

I guess I'm in the minority.
I didn't realize people really don't care.
I just find that odd.
To each their own.

They aren't being marketed as 100% authentic. If they were, I would be right with you.
