JFK Assassination

So I am watching these JFK assassination shows on History channel and there is a ton of interesting theories about what really happened.

Lets keep this non-political.... don't care what you think of JFK as a politician, just opinions on the assassination.

What do you think really happened?

Lee Harvey Oswald did it on his own? Communist hit? CIA hit? Mob hit?

On the show they had the following theories ranked as to who was behind it based on these polls they did of what American people believe, not based on anything else but what the poll results showed people believed:

1. Mafia
2. CIA
3. U.S. Government (Military Industrial Complex thing, different from CIA)
4. Communists
5. Fringe Theories (Nazis, Aliens, Nazi-Aliens...)

What does everyone else think, I know we have some older and wiser people on the board that can weigh in here...

I watched another show that was similar to what your talking about Ares, and in this one the guy doing the investigation thought it was an accidental shot by a Secret Service agent that killed Kennedy. Pretty interesting show I thought, the guy doing it was using the facts of the case as well as witness reports.

I think they pissed off a lot of people...From Castro, to the Unions, to the Mob...As for who shot em both...I dont have a clue.

But whomever did it covered their tracks very well

Eh if we had relevant quality data sure... but you have old, much lower def video.... witnesses who conflict.... botched JFK body handling after the shooting.... if it happened today you would probably have hundreds of videos of the event and the entire surrounding area, plus satellite images, all in high def.

Also even if you could prove it was all LHO shooting, you still have the question of whether he acted alone or if he was acting as someone's agent which you cannot determine without LHO alive and speaking or a confession/evidence from a source that backed LHO.

Another thing that struck me watching the show was how minimal the security seemed to be on the president.... and maybe it was more through than I know, but its kinda scary to think anyone with 20$, a rifle, and the knowhow to use it could just find a good spot and take a shot at the POTUS.

From what I remember,Kennedy wanted minimal security on that trip for some reason I cant remember...Today, the S/S would tell the POTUS to go **** off and he would get full security whether he liked it or not.

Lol I liked the scene that played in my head as I read your post....

I prefer it that way.... regardless of whether I like or dislike a president or his policies or views, I don't want anyone to get the chance to harm him....

There was a guy on the O'Reilly show that served on Obamas security detail...He quit to run for political office..He said its a constant battle between the S/S and the Prez's staff regarding security...The staff always wants the POTUS to be available to the public even if it means endangering him...He said the S/S fights em tooth and nail.

Guys name is Daniel Bongino..He also said that after the Reagan attempt, they now only use "covered" arrivals...The POTUS doesnt exit the car into the public view..They always use a tent to cover the occasion so some gunman cant get a shot off. That hotel where Reagan was shot built a permanent "shed" so the car can enter and the Pres can exit the car safely without being seen by the public

It was the CIA/Military Industrial Complex. There was a presidential order on Kennedy's desk when he was shot that was going to severely curtail the CIA. Next in his sights was the military industrial complex. He was gonna shut down the beast that Eisenhower tried to warn us about.
