I'm a beer drinker first and for most. I've had Captain Morgan Rum Original spice, not a huge fan of it but it's ok. I've had Tequila which isn't bad, and I've had Vodka. My preference for hard liquor. Now it's on to Whiskey. Which one should I get? My friend owes me so hes hooking me up with a bottle so price isn't big for me right now. But those are the two I'm debating between. Reviews? Input? Thanks guys.

Not much of a Whiskey guy. But of the two Jack has better taste. Especially with Coke. Jimmy B is off the chain! That shit is so rough and hard to swallow. It tastes like firey toilet water to me. But that's just my opinion.

Johnnie Walker :troll:

Seriously though, if you're just starting out with whisky, go with either Canadian Club or Seagram's Seven Crown. CC & Coke and 7 & 7 (Seagram's and 7UP) are good.

Of those 2 I prefer me JD, but being Irish through and through, my dad raised me on the likes of Guinness, Harp, Baileys, so my preference for Whiskey is Jamison's Irish Whiskey. Sooo delicious and smooth. But if I remember correctly we have a poster on here from Ireland, so if you want whiskey input, I would go to him first and foremost, as I would assume he would have best info.

Who cares? I started drinking when I was 14 or 15 and look at me now, I'm 27 and I have over 2,900 sweet-ass posts (this one included) on an internet message board!

Dare to dream, my friends, dare to dream.

Fun fact: If you ever go on the Jack Daniel's distillery tour, you will not be able to get any free samples at the end. Lynchburg, Tennessee is in a dry county :smh: .

Ahhhh, alcohol. How I love thee. Neither of those two choices are really all that great in my opinion. I would go try and find something like a Knob Creek, or if you got a little more coin to spend, go find yourself a really nice bourbon like Bantons, Jefferson, or Basil Hayden (I think that is how you spell that - its close enough though). Woodford Reserve is a nice smooth bourbon as well.

IF you really had to have one of those two, personally I guess I would choose Jack, but only if there was a gun to my head. Otherwise, I would move into something a little more specialized like a nice refined bourbon to enjoy - Blantons is really nice.

Oh, and if you go Johnnie Walker - Go green label. By far the best price to experience ratio. Not even close.

Enjoy.

You have many different types of liquor that we are talking about here. Do some reading on the subject and try out as much as you can - when you get to be of legal age.

First, Johnnie Walker is an Irish Scotch Whiskey. Jack and Jim (I believe) are Tennessee Whiskeys. All of the other bourbons (a type of whiskey) are specifically from an area in Kentucky where only "true" bourbons can be found. Personally, I really enjoy the different bourbons. I also like me some Johnnie Walker Green label - but that is like comparing Tequila to Mescal (same ideas - but two completely different alcohols).

Look, heres the deal - check em all out when you have a chance. If you are really interested in the different styles/brands/types of alcohol/whiskeys/bourbons keep checking it out. If you are simply looking to get drunk - go get something cheap and enjoy the buzz.

There are so many options in the Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch world, I couldn't even help you as I know 1/10 of what is probably out there - but man, it is a world I enjoy learning about each and every day. Man there is some stuff out there that will blow you mind.

Enjoy.
