Jim Harbaugh Will be our next head coach

I remember him looking like there were bees flying around in his noggin with white showing all the way around his pupils early in his career. Bad situation here following McMahon and it was nice to see him get it together with the Colts but he really didn't have his ducks in a row for a while. I'll never forget the play where Ditka says 'No audibles!' with a 20-0 lead at the Metrodome, Harbaugh gets baited, audibles and throws a pic 6 on our way to a 1 point loss. Ditka went ballistic on the play and didn't let it go for a while.

you know, it's hard to believe given how bad the team was last year, but I'm fairly certain 1992 Ditka and Wannstedt had far worse years (outside just the records being worse)

1992 Ditka especially. I guess the players just got sick of his shit and quit.

I wish. I wanted him to stay in the NFL & coach the Bears so bad. He'd be the perfect guy for the job. Probably won't happen though.

Seeing Harbaugh take over a college team, would be sort of like you or me setting up a franchise on Madden on easy level, setting our own team attributes to high, the computers to low, while taking all of the best players to start mopping teams up.

I just don't believe dominating at the collegiate level is going to be much of a challenge for him, especially with the recruiting pull that he is going to have.

I know I did. He was a good coach for a while but no longer and he lost his center. Sometimes it's just over and time to move on, even if you don't get it right.

Was that the play where the Bears where on the 5 of Minnisota going in for a TD and he threw into the flat and the pick 6 went for like 99 yards?

That was probably Rusty Lisch. 1984, 6 INTs, 0 TDs and 35 rating that actually looked high. Rusty had a career rating of 25 with 48% completions, 11 iNTs and 1 TD.

Harbaugh at about 45 sec in.

Nah. O-State currently dominates. I personally believe that Michigan will need a couple/few years for players that Harbaugh recruits to bleed through Michigans system enough to be able to not skip a beat from losing good players to graduation & or the draft.

I'm sure even he would rather see a good game between the two that truly constitutes a rivalry, rather than the lopsided travesty between the two. I'd rather watch a nail biter than a blowout almost any day.

I think the last time I thoroughly enjoyed watching a blowout was when the '85 Bears smashed the Cowboys. They hadn't beaten the Cowboys since 1971 before that game. I loved every single minute of that shit.

I don't care for Fox either, & never really got the big deal over him. I've always felt he's greatly over rated by many, yet he's not a bad coach either. I do believe the Bears can win with him if he keeps himself surrounded by good/great coordinators on all three phases of play, & good talent too, of course.

I think Fox could do a lot for himself here when he really gets a chance to when Pace starts to get more of his own players, by playing his younger players, or even rookies more than the vet players who really are bad & pretty much have been since they've been here. I would go with an unknown any day & let them get acclimated to the speed of the pro level, rather than a known failure & the Bears have a few noticeable fails on this roster.

Fox has almost always had a rep for not playing rookies much & 10-20 years ago that made a lot of sense. But nowadays these kids are coming into the NFL & they can play right off & play very well, A lot of these kids from the draft today are basically born into the arms of a position specialist/coach. Times have changed anyway anyone wants to slice. If there has ever been an era to develop a young rookie QB in, this is it, with all of the rule making that appears to favor offensive play.

All of you even contemplating this is pathetic...Fox has come in, developed a nice staff, and though this team is 2-5, they are playing much better than we imagined they would with the talent they have. The players want to play for this staff and their effort has been noteworthy. For some of you to get on here and talk about the next coach is ridiculous. "Fans" like you are what is holding this franchise back from turning the corner. Show some patience. The team is in good hands. It may take another year or two, but we have the right staff in place to being a contender. Threads like this one should be deleted..

really? they look pretty much exactly like i imagined... like a 2-5 team.

and foxs weak play not to lose coaching will not garner him much respect from the players going forward.
