We finally have a competent shooting guard. Lucky for us we don't face Wade and Bron who every game and get him into foul trouble.

Game probably would have been different if Butler did not get in foul trouble so early and we had to go to Dunleavy but yeah Butler is going to be fine at SG I think

The Bulls got hosed early on by the refs...that 'charge' call on Butler when Haslem ran at him from the top of the key with his arms up....the hell was that?

Don't get me wrong thats not why the Bulls lost as the Heat bench came in on fire hitting 3s while the Bulls bench came in and couldn't hit the broad side of the barn was why the Heat jumped out on the Bullies.

I was relieved to see Dun have a good 2nd half as his 1st half was about as bad as Korver in the ECF back in 2011.

Tonight's game did show one glaring weakness regarding the Bulls tonight, though- outside of Lu and Buckets...they have no one who can defend the perimeter other than those two. That 2nd Quarter was a joke.

Butler turned up, one of the positives you can take from tonight's debacle

He'll likely be a SF next year, when Deng is no longer here.

I love Jimmy, im the first one here to brag about him when he first arrived asshole.
Damn yous a lame.

:oprah:

**** YOU!
Jimmys decent at 2guard, but better suited as a wing player.
Whether it suits you or not, i see Jimmy replacing Deng as our SMALL FORWARD next season, unless your goofy ass thinks Dunleavy can be our starting small forward.
Unless by some chance we can land Lebron, then Jimmys fine staying our 2guard.

Oh yeah, did i mention "**** YOU"?

u must get your jollys off talking shit with your daily name calling and insults.
You really need to leave the drugs alone son.

I feel like Jimmy has a bigger advantage over 2 guards rather than bigger 3s. Not like it really matters to me if he's a "2" or a "3", it's not going to change the way he plays. He can take smaller players to the bucket all day long.

his real position is a small forward...thats what he came into the league as....sure he works as a 2 but thats not his real position and most likely next year will be playing SF

dont know why you're fighting that so much

Because dude is nieve as Hell and refuses to admit that PaxGar have completely FAILED to bring in a true 2guard whos specialty is SCORING every single year for a half of decade since they LOST the only legit 2guard (Ben Gordon) the Bulls have had since Michael Jordan so they can continue to make room to insure overrated Kirk Hinrichs retirement ceremony and #12 jersey hanging in the U.C........................................................................................

Well its a good thing Butler is a hard worker. He is the perfect 2 guard to compliment a better shooting Rose. Young, explosive, and plays defense. He has room to improve his shooting for sure, but thats why I say its a good thing he is a hard worker. Rose needs to elevate himself to 30 ppg by mid season to carry us.

The score wasn't so bad when you look at our shooting percentage. Boozer carried us tonight.

We'll be alright. Snell wasn't ready, but he could get there by season end. Dunleavy can give us more. We need a back-up big, we never replaced Asik. Why didn't we get into the Oden sweepstakes again?

Nobody said that jimmy Butler wasnt a hardworking excellent player in the making.
You miss the whole point.
The point is ,Jimmy Butler is a natural SMALL FORWARD and has no choice but to play the 2guard postion because a legit 2guard has failed to exist on a Bulls roster in over 5 years.

I have absolutely no doubt that Jimmy Butler was NOT drafted to be the Bulls future 2guard.
He just found himself playing out of position and happens to be a good enough player to fill in at that roll until or IF PaxGar ever decide stop thinking that the Bulls dont need a scoring guard whos specialty is SCORING like your prototypical 2guard is supposed to do.......................................

Thank God Jimmy is willing to give his best at whatever position he is assigned.

Jimmy Butler is the Bulls starting 2guard because there is NO other option because of managements FAILURES to make a solid effort to get one, or the incapability to do so.

Whats next?
Is Bulls management going to try and turn Noah into a small forward? :dunno:

People arguing over nothing...if you say "Butler isn't a SG, he is naturally a wing player"....WTF are you talking about man??? A SG IS A WING POSITION! Get with the times...in 2013, SG and SF are interchangeable. Will Butler play SF next season? Who knows? And who gives a damn!!! Butler is adept at both positions. Give it a rest...

Your right about Jimmy being able to do both.
I never said he wasnt.
Whats YOUR point.

Okay then...........Geez, dont have a stroke over this shit..........

Jimmy Butler is a Small Forwrd 1st.
Jimmy Butler is a 2guard second.
He can probably play some power forward.
Maybe even a lil point....
Thats what we All agree on and love about Jimmy.
VERSATILITY, on both ends of the court and position.

Kind of like Scottie Pippen was.

Cool.

It doesnt change the fact that Jimmy was drafted as and meant to be title a small forawrd first, EVEN THOUGH HES CAPABLE OF BOTH WING POSITIONs.
B U T, in ost successful Championship situations yesturday and today, the 2 guards main job is to score more than a small forwards job is.............

Kevin Durant and Lebron James are an exception to the rule.
They both are titled Small Forwards, but are leading scorers on there respected teams, but able to play the 2 as well.
Jimmys more of a roll scorer when needed.
Jimmy Butler is a utility man who can do a little of everything hes called upon to fill in holes.
Hes not going to be the leading Backcourt scorer.
Its kind of hard to explain to defiant ones like you.

Jimmy's development has been so good to see. Not championship good, but I certainly have enjoyed it.

If we are to have any chance to beat the Heat in a series, this guy will be the big reason. He is the only guy who can defend Lebron and he just makes so many good plays and doesn't make many mistakes.

Thanks for helping me get this thread back to topic.
Unfortunatly Hue will probably respond to my last response to him and turn it upside down again.
BUT, maybe he will show this thread, forum and everyone Respect and he wont turn this good thread into another SP94-HueHeffna forum fight after he reads "unfortunatelyhuewillprobablyrespondtomypostandturnitupsidedownagain"so he doesnt look like the hypocrit he is...........The only reason he wont respond is so he wont look sucked into this monster he created...And id be fine with that and so would everyone else because NOBODY CARES.....That would be wise and very unselfish on his part.........i would very much respect that and leave it alone for sure.....That would be progress.......
Just maybe we will all be so lucky.

Enough of that....................
Got no more to say but, Jimmy Butler is the shit man. Im proud that hes a Bull. :beerbang:
