I have high expectations. I see him as a late round steal like Taj was.

Agreed 100%. This guy's got fantastic character, has always been a hard worker and does a lot of things well. Plus, he hit two game winning shots last year, so you know he's got the guts to step up in big moments.

I really liked him up in Marquette. He definitely could fit in well with the squad.

Seems like Butler is a very motivated guy off the court from what I've seen in interviews. Strongly defensive minded with a level head. Could work out really well for us.

I just worry about how much playing time Thibs will give him... It might just be garbage time this season

I really hope the Bulls keep those hard working guys like Gibson and Butler for a long time. Their attitude is something special.

Like my sig says: "hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard!"

Talkin´bout practice! :D

unless brewer gets traded

Still Thibs has shown that he isnt afraid to ride his reliable guys for the minimization of mistakes.

With such a short training camp its going to be hard for him to catch on to the system

He is a well rounded player who played in the Big East. So I already know he is ready for the NBA.

In the big east there are never any nights off, not even against DePaul because we beat Marquette a year or two back :yeah: any way he's battle tested and he plays hard, smart, and in his role. With him you know what your getting, I'm more than excited to see him play I hope he gets some good tic time this season

Butler worked out with Rose, and apparently he was challenging Rose in workouts this offseason. At least we know he isn't coming in fat, like JJ did to his rookie year.

The kid works hard, so that should get him somewhere. I really hope he pans out because I want nothing but the best for this guy. Not only for the whole story thing, but because he just seems like a great guy.
