So Joakim called a drunk fan a f*ggot. He was fined 50k for it. I think the fact that the NBA was perpetually running ads during the game to not call people '***' probably contributed to the hefty fine.I can't...

Meh...whatev. it's a crock of shit. every single player in the NBA would be fined multiple times every game if they heard/saw what they all said. Whatev. I'm surprised it wasn't worse, honestly, considering Kobe got fined twice that and since the NBA has been running "*** Ain't Okay".....wonder why Chris Bosh isn't a part of those commercials?

A professional athlete losing control of his emotions? Boy that never happens. He apologized right after the game, get over it & move on.

Athletes swallow their tongues ALOT when it comes to fans, but when a fan steps over the line, in this case insulting Noah's mother, sometimes you just can't let that go. Doesn't make it right, but then again just because a fan paid $1000 to sit court side doesn't give him/her the right to be an obnoxious, drunken a-hole either.

Did you see how Lebron handled the situation when a fan went off about his mother? Joakhim should take notes...THAT is how you handle that...period. And you can imagine the things Lebron has heard/seen concerning his mother at basketball games...

How is that apples and oranges? A fan said something inappropriate about Lebron's mother and he addressed the situation...period. The rest of it is totally irrelevant and no evidence proves it.

you honestly believe lebum's never said anything negative to a fan? lol. He's not been caught. That's the only real difference. I mean, the dude hasn't exactly shown the best judgment throughout his career.

It's your birthday. Get drunk and agree w/ someone. :flipa:

Well, neither has Noah...Lebron said something negative to the fan I am speaking of, just in a different way. He gave the fan a verbal warning face to face. That should be good enough. Whether Lebron is such a ****** or not (which I disagree with...) doesn't matter. We are talking about this particular situation. And thanks for the birthday sentiments...

Noah had bad energy from the opening tip. He better find his energy I've come to love since the Boston series.

yeah, the lbj is a ****** thing was said in jest. I do think he's incredibly immature, and find his "Special person" remark actually worse than noah or kobe's "*** slurs"...but I don't think lbj is a ******. full of himself, maybe, but that's true about 98%+ of pro athletes.

and you're welcome.

Maybe the fan shouldn't have been a fucking ****** to begin with and Noah wouldn't have had to call him out on it.

I'm not saying what Noah did was right....but, what gives a fan the right to call a player a sexual or racial slur. Or even yell at a player? Please, don't give me the "Paid a lot of money for those seats"... I've paid a lot of money for things, and I don't feel the right to talk like that.

whoever is against what was said go cry to Lady Gaga about it, she will write you a song. Everyone is so sensative. I say that shit all the time, dont mean i hate gays.
