I hope they get this done. But, not for to much. What is he worth? Anyine have a guess of what he's looking for or what he will get? I don't. I'll take a guess, 4 years at 7M per year.

Nice. I also hope it isn't too over the top. He's worth a good amount though.

He'd get quite a lot on the FA market w/ big men so coveted. Smart move by the Bulls to lock up Noah.
Next up: Derrick Rose

How much do you think and what's not over the top?

Me personally, I believe nothing over 4yr/8mil would be fine & a very proper deal for him. Now, if he randomly takes less I would be happy to see his wanting to help this team move further forward & have room for other additions.

I was close to what you just said. I said, 4 years/7M per. I think that's a reasonable offer for a guy in his first 2 years was not known and invisible.

I dont know what he's worth but this is the Bulls. They overpay the guys they love.

I would be extremely surprised if he doesn't get at least $9 million per season.

I would be happy with 6 years/$8-12 million per year. Realistically, I don't think we can hope for anything better than that. Overpaying for your best guys is the way of life in the NBA.

This is kind of a tricky one because the injury issues Noah had last season have hurt his value somewhat. If he stays healthy this year I can see him being worth 5yr/10 million per year easy. But I don't think he is worth that right now. Do you overpay him now based on what you think his future value will be? If you give him fair value now you may have to renegotiate again in a year or 2. If you overpay him and injuries continue to be a problem, then you get stuck with a decent player with an untradeable contract. (Hello, Loul!)

I think you almost have to take the risk and make him happy. When I read the title of this thread for some reason "5yrs/$53 million" popped into my head. That sounds too high to me but I can see Noah being worth that "someday."

its obviuos that noah wants a extension but i think he is not going to get it any time soon.

maybe this upcoming off season. Also i can see the bulls signing noah and rose in the same offseason.

lol joakim will not get 7 million per year. let's put this into perspective, david lee just got 13.3 mil per year. haywood just got 6/54. you can make a convincing argument that noah is more valuable than lee because he doesn't need the ball and is a defensive stalwart, valuable in a center.

if i'm noah, i would ask for 11 MINIMUM and ask up to 14 even. in the open market, he could get a near max contract. if he was a free agent this summer, he woulda gotten at least 13-14 looking at the contracts given out. i think that he'll take a discount to stay in chicago, but don't expect too much.

7 million a year is laughable. what, is he desagana diop worthy???

I hope it's ends up a 4-6yr deal that doesn't break the team's proverbial bank.

I'd like to think he is still the team player that he has been & will be willing to take a couple million off of what he would have asked for if he wasn't such a big supporter of this team.
