Some earlier reports said Joakim Noah has decided to skip World Championships to rest his foot after a difficult season full of injuries. Since a few days, it seems that the French center is more willing to join the French group for the Worlds.
He first met the French coach, Vincent Collet, and then explained his situation to the newspaper L’Equipe. Maybe it’s just diplomatic but Noah said he still wants to play for France in the Turkish World Championships.
“I talked about the situation with Vincent Collet and the coaches of the French team. What’s sure is that I really want to play with that group and go to the Worlds,” he said. “But I explained the situation. I’ve to negotiate a contract extension this summer. I’m in the same situation than Tony Parker. Contracts like this only happen once in a lifetime. This will change everything for me and I hope to sign it quickly and join the Bleus as soon as I can. I’m still very interested in playing for the French team.”

yeah i hope we can resign him.

Do we overpay for him or no? With the cap going to plunge every year from here going on, it's a bad time to negotiate a contract for a player like Noah since he's not really a high scorer. Hopefully, we don't mess up though, I think the lessons we learned from Noc, Deng, and Ben Wallace will help us.

That's a fact. Let's hope the combination of his short-fused temper & loud mouth don't cause him trouble when he doesn't get what he wants. Remember...he's still the same childish center from college. lol

yeah, i just hope we can wait it out at least a year before we negotiate talks with him for a extension. its just a bad timing right now to try and sign him for one, remember, we still gotta sign rose too in the near future.

I just worry that his mouth will get him in trouble like you said.

He may want a contract but I doubt he gets one until after all the big time FAs are gone.

I dont think he will get one this offseason even if all the big time FA are gone. if he were to get one, it will probably be next year's offseason.

Horribly written article but who knows if the quotes per-say are real. All i know is that this is not the time, Noah. If he really does want to win and have FAs brought in to help in that mission, he will wait on getting his.

If noah continues to improve or hell even played like he did last year the bulls need to re-sign him. He's showed his value to the team when he was injured this year and the bulls lost a lot of games. Not only that but he's a leader, and always has been going back to his days at UF. Just don't over-pay him.

I have no doubt that Noah is worth an extension but for the sake of building a contender, it should wait until we at least get our FAs.

If this article is true, he deserves it, but bad timing. We need to focus on LBJ, and getting a coach right now.

On the other hand, it looks like a 4 year old scribbled this shit out in crayon.

Yeah, it looks like it was processed through a translator. Translators fall short some times because they will often translate word for word, literally. For example, in German, Es gibt= It gives...if you translate it literally word for word. But es gibt actually means 'there is'.

You have to keep stuff like this in mind when things are being translated without knowing how.
