Bill Polian, "Fields never took snaps behind center at Ohio State which set him back for the NFL . . ."

Now Burrow speaks on the Ohio State program.

Not a good look for ryan day's program. specially when it comes to qb development.

Does Mooney even see the field if he’s on the Bengals?

Burrow said he wins games on mon, tues, weds with prep...not on the weekend. Emphasized, without hesitation, he can read a defense.

...already in the SB in year 2.

That was entertaining, thank you. I liked Burrow coming out but of course there was no way the Bears were going to get him.

Belichick said the same thing in Dark Side of Football

It's pretty well known and apparent that Fields can't read a defense quickly and holds the ball too long.
He probably holds the ball too long because he doesn't read defenses quickly.
As much as I hate to admit it, Rodgers reads defenses very quickly.
Hopefully, a new QB coach and OC will begin teaching Fields this week!!

I would also say that almost ever QB prospect coming out cant read defenses quickly and it is a key trait to grow that will make a good QB prospect into becoming the guy you sign for a record contract.

Reading defenses quickly are what make prospects like Burrow and Luck slam dunk first overall picks, but plenty of top QB prospects lack this tool coming out of the gate and need to focus on developing that skillset.

@1:45 via his clip on speaking about how he got to LSU.

Not always a slam dunk. Obvious Ryan Day never saw the potential choosing 2 scrubs over him but the ex buckeye's assistant coach who went to LSU did notice it. Basically told his new superiors, my ex boss is going to let this guy sit for another year. If he becomes available we need to get him cause he's going to help win a national championship. #woah

Hmm it is a fair point, but I was saying it is a slam dunk on draft day, so obviously these kinds of prospects were taught earlier in their careers than the rest of the bunch!

Off topic side comment, I am 100% rooting for Burrow in the superbowl. I want both QBs to look good, honestly, but I am rooting for the kid from Athens.

Did you look at Burrow's 1st year at LSU?

He competed and lost to Haskins. Said it as a matter of fact.

2018 Ohio state went 13-1. Ranked 3rd. LSU went 10-3. Ranked 6th

Haskins 174 rating. Joe Burrow 134 rating.

He didn't choose Barrett you drama queen. Borrow was #2 and chose to leave and have a chance to start at LSU. That guy you call a scrub, Haskins, clearly outplayed Burrow in the year in question 2018.

After that season:

One evaluator said Burrow entered the (2019) season as a likely third- or fourth-round pick, the kind of choice a franchise hopes would yield a stalwart backup. Pro Football Focus’s preseason draft guide included 10 quarterbacks, and Burrow was not among them.

He's awesome now and deserves his accolades but lets not revise history.

Burrow could keep this close but I don't think they win unless Stafford gives it away which is very possible.

Players need a good coach(es). Talent can only take them so far. How can a player take advantage of a defense if wrong play is called, and coaches aren't teaching them what to look for. Even QBs need O-line and Receivers to execute the play as well. QB can't do it by himself.

The Bengals headcoach Zac Taylor in his first year won 2 games. Second year 4 games. Same core system, coaching staff etc.

Wonder what the Bears board vibe here would be if Eberflus starts off his coaching career with 2 and 4 win seasons, lol!

Then some position got upgraded and he and his staff look like geniuses. Weird how that werks.

This is revolutionary!!

It’s always fun watching the BIG10 homers here stan for their shitty teams and players. Looking forward to the 5000 draft threads telling me how the Bears must take some offensive lineman from Iowa or some corner from Purdue.

Why can’t you guys care about the SEC so maybe they can get some real athletes? Lol at these slow BIG10 guys.

Why would they have a meltdown?

What a weird response. They’re in the super bowl but it doesn’t matter because they lost a week 2 regular season game. Great point!!!
