Way to generalize an entire group of people.
Guilty by association can be a *****, but sometimes it is necessary.
I HAVE. Everyone has, there has been five years of sympathy poured out for these people, and they have yet to do anything with the sympathy and aid garnered over those five years.
So some people raped and murdered,
A lot did. And they looted buildings, ransacked houses and stole cars. And oh yeah, some of them were firing handguns at the rescue helicopters.
so the rest have to be ignored when they did nothing wrong?
They HAVEN'T been ignored. Ok, yeah, FEMA dropped the ball horribly in the lead-up to Katrina and immediately after, but it's been
five fucking years of pledge drives and tributes and donations, and the entire area is still a piece of shit. They deserve no more than they have already gotten. At this point, we have to stop blaming the hurricane and the government and start looking at the people who have taken handout after handout, done absolutely nothing with it yet still ask and yearn for more.
Yes, it was a horrible thing that happened, and no, I'm not saying that the people of the affected areas should have been left to their own devices from the get go. What I'm saying is that those people have received enough help, if they haven't been able to do anything with what has already been given to them, then it's
their fault, and they shall receive no more sympathy or aid from me, and nor should they from any of you.
