I'm not just saying this because we have lost 2 in a row, but because he's...well, bad at basketball.


He's constantly dribbling the air out of the ball, and then taking ill-advised shots.

Example: Last Night Bulls down 7-8, get a defensive stop and Lucas comes down a chucks up a 3 after dribbling for 10 seconds. The Bulls then get another defensive stop on the next possession, and Lucas chucks up a 3 which was way off....it led to Korver (Who is also on my shit list) bailing him out with a 3-pointer of his own.

He is what he is, he was amazing vs. Miami, and stunk it up last night. This is why he is a bench player and not a starter in the NBA. Well, that and his height issue.

He has worse court vision than a player in the Blind Basketball League and is only concerned with getting his own shot. He can't run a team and he misses the open man far too often. nuff said. If he was good at basketball he wouldn't be the 3rd option in PG. You can't demand something more from him. That's all you can get from him(speed to give faster tempo in the game and shooting) and it's enough. You have Rose to play 40 minutes there and he is the best in the league.

Obviously he isn't very good at the NBA level. I think he surprised people this year showing that he can have good games sometimes offensively.

Lucas is about as streaky a scorer as they come...but that's his role. He's supposed to come in and try to score. I don't always like how he plays, but sometimes he brings us back and gives us a much needed offensive spark. Unfortunately, it doesn't always happen.

Well after we signed him to 1294812091299480129480 10 day contracts, the only way we could have him back would be to sign him for the season. With Rose coming back hopefully soon shouldn't be necessary to have him.

JL3 has been outplaying CJ. Yes, CJ isn't 100%, but to say that Lucas is bad, means that your expectations are skewed. Lucas has OUTPERFORMED expectations, thus, teams are planning for him. JL3 has been outplaying CJ. Yes, CJ isn't 100%, but to say that Lucas is bad, means that your expectations are skewed. Lucas has OUTPERFORMED expectations, thus, teams are planning for him. Now, like a game of chess, it's his move, and turn to adjust his game through the team and coaches to counter-attack.

Skewed? How so? No one expected him to be amazing but atleast be a competent basketball player and fact is he is not. He is probably the worst pick-n-roll player in the NBA & unfortunately that makes up 95% of every offense in the league. And he's incredibly stupid with the ball alot of the time. Whether it's overdribbling, picking up his dribble too early, missing wide open teammates, chucking up ridiculous shots with lots of time on the shot clock, and so on and so on.

A prime example of how dumb he is could be witnessed in the 4th qtr last night. Lucas @ top of the key, standing RIGHT NEXT TO HIM is a wide open Korver behind the 3pt line. He looks to Korver, who waves for the ball, takes two steps back to the 3pt line & heaves his OWN 3 pointer! I nearly threw my remote right thru my flat screen.

Anyway, I don't think JL3 is a bad player. Not at all. He is a shooting guard in a point guard's body, but he has helped this team win games this year. What more can you expect from a 3rd string pg?

And still, I say he is the 2nd best at creating his own shot off the dribble. And I don't think that will help the Bulls in the playoffs.
