Howard is a good back, but Bears would be wise to let him walk after next season. For as good as Howard is, his trade value is probably a 4th/5th rounder with a new contract coming due. Probably makes more sense to just use and abuse him. Teams simply do not value RB at all. There are just so many plug and play prospects coming out of college that can be found in the late rounds, it makes very sense to tie up cap dollars at the position.
