I wanted to look back on some of the earlier issues of the Bulls considering we may be getting Lebron soon. I didn't want to start a new thread, although I had to just after listening to five minutes of it. If you don't remember Fred, you were trashing the crap out of the Noah pick haha. I can't blame you though but it is funny to look back on. Also the love for Jameson Curry is priceless.

Here are some quotes about Noah:

"Joakim Noah has the offensive skills of a 3rd grader"

"The guy is a complete embarrassment when it comes to doing anything around a basketball court"

"Overall this was a complete disaster taking Joakim Noah"

"Spencer Hawes would have been the better choice"

"There is no way Joakim Noah is ever going to be able to fill anywhere close to Wallace's spot"

"Joakim Noah is pretty much going to be a worthless professional"

"He has zero offensive skills and you better be one heck of a defensive player to play in the NBA, Joakim is not that"

"This will be the only pick Paxson had that will be a complete bust"

Thought you would appreciate looking back on this Fred considering how much you, along with all of us, love Noah.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Haha this is great. I'm sure most of you, and maybe Fred himself, are aware of the fact that Fred tends to...exaggerate the faults of players/people he doesn't like. These quotes are living proof. Just something else I thought I'd point out while we're quoting Fred, his favorite bashing comments tend to look like:
"______ is a complete disaster..."
"______ is a pile of suck on the offensive end"
"______ is an complete and utter disaster"
"______ is a complete atrocity..."
"Neil Funk is a complete and utter moron..."
"______ is worthless..."

The tendency to use "complete" is rather prevalent.

His praises tend to look sorta similar as well:

"_____ is a class act..."
"_____ is one of the best _____ I've ever seen..."
"_____ is the best Bull since Craig Hodges" (ok maybe he never said that one xD)
"_____ is the best shooter I've seen in a Bulls uniform in a long time..."
"I have nothing but respect for _____"

Probably some more exaggeration there. Conclusion: Fred is a very passionate Bulls fan.

Yea, I threw that on recently as I prepared our hundredth episode. There are alot of good gems in there. The best ones to listen to now are those ones at the start of the 2007-2008 season, when Fred immediatly jumpped off the ledge and I kept hanging on. As you go on through the episodes, you see slowly fall into the angry abyss that is Freds psychie....good material.

I decided to go back to the episode right after the Bulls won the 2008 draft lottery. Fred dropped this gem at 18:27...

"Now it looks like this moron Tom Thibodeau, who’s going to be brought in. Goodness gracious. If he brings in some kind of offense, Gundy like offense, that I’m going to have to vomit to and reign in a guy like Derrick Rose. What a disaster."

LOL. Oh that is precious. I didn't recall saying that Spencer Hawes would have been the better choice, because I didn't like him either, but as I've said many times since...obviously, I was 100% wrong on Noah. Although, in fairness to myself, I have been right 95% on everything else.

Who knows, I may still be right on this. Tommy T better not institute a Gundy like offense with Rose. I want to run like the wind.

But can you at least give me credit for threatening to burn down the Berto center unless we took Rose. A vision of me with a torch might have been the incentive that management needed to make the right decision. There was a huge debate about taking Rose or Beasley that everyone wants to forget about now. I was demanding that we take Rose on Day 1, despite the fact that we already had the great Kirk Hinrich at point.

Yeah you were not very high on Hawes either, your first choice was Acie Law hahaha. Your wish came true.

I remember at the time I was really neutral on the pick, I was fine with either Noah or Hawes. Luckily management made the right choice. The time I think almost everyone was wrong about Noah was at the beginning of the 08-09 season, wow he was terrible.

I would have been there with you, torch in hand.
