Well fellas, I went and did it. After nearly five months of working on this deal, I am now the sole owner of the place of business I've been at for nearly 16 years. I fucking did it. I'm in massive debt and everything is on the line but I did it. It's been a massive game of high stakes poker but I won. I've got 10 years to pay off this loan but it's mine. It's all on me. My team is pumped and I'm going to revolutionize our shit and take this business to the next level. No one has any idea. One day I'll write a book as the deal has been off/on more than three different times. It was harder and more complicated than I could have ever imagined.

I have my managers meeting on Thursday and I'm getting that shit catered: BBQ. Going to be epic. So many different/wild things planned the first year. I can barely contain myself.

I am more of a lurker/thank banger here, but I've been here since the migration from the CBMB. I just wanted to share this life-changing news and say thank you to ALL of you for the years of laughs. I've learned a lot, laughed a lot and from time to time had some great engagement. CCS is my comic relief and I love the escapism. I love reading about it all. You all are amazing content producers and despite the boards infighting, I believe it truly is a special place with amazing people.

For anyone that's owned a business or has experience in business, please throw any words of advice, great quotes or any sort of wisdom. You can ask me anything and I'll get to it when I can. I've been working about 75 hours a week leading up to this point and I'm signing the final docs with my lawyer tomorrow. I can't believe it's finally happening.

First question: Best way to money launder?

First of all, Congrats!!!! If I'm ever I'm Colorado I'm gonna slide into your DMs to come visit (my girl likes chocolate cake in case you're wondering about what the chef should send - jk).

Wish you nothing but success and happiness.

I would lean on @RacerX for business advice.

That's great! Was in business for 40 years. There will be off years but it always gets better. Watch those long hours and don't let the business consume you. Work to live not live to work. Talking to Racer would be a wise move.

Thank you. I plan on working 2 nights a week in different capacities to keep an eye on my people and the biz. It's important they see me out there. Some days I may manage, other days I may wash dishes. The insight and perspective I get will be valuable. I can fix/do more for my team when I know what they go through.

Congrats and awesome to hear!

After you settle into your operations, feel free to DM me about optimal ways to take care of the debt piece.

Where is my donators badge boss? I tell you how to easily wash bills and nada?

Also, this washing dishes crap has a Marc Trestman leadership stench to it. Youre gonna **** up the kitchen bitches synergy Marc. Leave them be. If anything, buy them a portable bluetooth speaker and let them scrub to whatever they want to listen to. If you aint paying taco a living wage back there, that grunt scrubbing and making the least amount of money in house should be at least be getting a free daily meal. Well the night shift ***** anyway.

Just QA/Expedite food man and sexually harass the dime pieces. This lets you know what your kitchen is actually produing and what your runners are running out. In this position if the kitchen gets fucked youre also the +1 and can rotate in a do something. Why pull skilled hands off the line thats probably 10 tickets behind and deep in the suck, when you can go crack open some #10 cans, chop up some herbs, run some plates.. etc. You will also have the freedom to walk up front and micro manage or handle customer complaints etc.

Or maybe keep doing what youve always done before owning the place.

Good luck and congratulations! Owned my own business for years. It will be a roller coaster but it’s yours and you don’t have to share the success but you can’t share failures, either. “the two most over rated things in this world are child birth and owning your own business“.

Congratulations, and wishing you nothing but success.

You won't regret taking the plunge. The regrets come from the moves not made. Hope this brings much happiness and success.
