1. The All-Star game is a complete joke. The fact that it does not showcase the best players in the NHL because each team must be represented by at least 1 player. So Ales Hemsky and Phil Kessel are in over a player like Zetterberg?... in fact Hemsky did not even have to be in the game because Edmonton has Taylor Hall in the rookie skill competition and that counts for your 1 minimum team representitive.

2. Patrick Kane nor Duncan Keith deserve to be in the All Star game this season. Zetterberg or Keith Yandle are two off the top of my head having way way way way better seasons. I would have even put Campbell in over Keith this season.

They really should scrap the All-Star game and just run another winter classic game. At least that is a gimmick game the counts and is worth watching.

The fans vote the starters in... then people from NHL operations and General Managers pick the rest of the team.

Kaner was picked by the NHL/GMs... I am thinking they did this because of his status and marketability over lets say like Mike Richards.

The whole game and process is a complete joke.

Remember back in November when you and Matthew were trying to convince me Sharp wasn't worthy?

Understanding that this game is a joke keeps me from getting all pissy about the snubs.

I said Sharpy was very valuable just not AS worthy.

I didn't think he had a chance to make it. Datsyuk being hurt did help.

But whatever, I never cared for AS games, period.

Yeah, despite you not caring, he was AS worthy then and he is now; there was no keeping him out of it with the year he's been having.
