Kerry Wood will take Pay-Cut to re-join Cubs

Kerry Wood said over the weekend there has been tons of interest from the Cubs and there's a possibility I will play in Chicago come '11. He said he wants to do what's best for his family and that's live in Chicago where they are now. He has said that over the weekend at Ryan Dempster's fundraiser. He also came to the Ron Santo funeral. There's a link out there and if you wana post it, go for it. I'm too lazy to find it and post it, lol.

Thoughts? I'm all for it and I hope it goes down!

That's kinda what it meant because he knows he won't get the money from the Cubs like he will get from the Yanks or Red Sox.

I'd say 15% of that is the motive.. Otherwise he's a player the organization knows well..

His family was very comfortable in Chicago.

He would be a decent contributor in the bullpen.
