I agree that they should stay away from McHale. I would be all for them bringing him in as a big man coach, because he can teach post players how to make moves (and it's also sounding like he could start working with the Pacers' Roy Hibbert), but as a head coach, no they shouldn't even consider him as an option.

Didn't he single handedly destroy the Timberwolves at one time?

As a GM, yes. As a coach he didn't really destroy them, he just had to play with the team that he created, and obviously it didn't work out for him. I'm not going to diss the guy, he definitely has a good basketball mind, he just doesn't know how to build a team.

If the Bulls hire a scrub coach, they are going to whiff on free agents, and I'll be done with them for good. I don't care how good Rose/Noah are, without a coach and some help they will never make it out of the 1st round.

Seriously, just sit down with Wade or LeBron or Bosh or a big FA, and ask them who they want as a coach.

I heard this on the radio yesterday while I was driving, I was like **** no. He ran Minnesota into the ground. There was no talent around KG, he promised Joe Smith a max contract, something that is stupid, and then he got caught, the team was stripped of draft picks because of it, so they couldn't add good pieces around KG, KG's contract prevented the team from making moves in FA, and because they made the playoffs, the draft picks they had were not very good, and he made bad picks. An assistant coach maybe, working with bigs, but as a head coach, no fucking way
