Kid Charged with Killing kid over sneakers..

This happened a lot in the early 90's with Air Jordans. But I thought it wasn't this bad now...

READING, Pa. (AP) - A fifth teen has been charged with beating and fatally shooting a 15-year-old Pennsylvania boy and stealing his sneakers as he was dying.

Police in Reading say 19-year-old Axel Charicata was arrested at Reading Intermediate High School on Friday. He is facing weapons charges and related counts.

Investigators say 15-year-old victim Willy Tineo's sneakers looked like expensive Air Jordans but were actually fake versions.

Deputy Police Chief Mark Talbot said investigators found the sneakers and the gun inside Charicata's home. It was not clear if he had an attorney.

Four other suspects, ranging from 16 to 19, are already behind bars in connection with Tineo's killing on Sunday.

I am not trying advocate committing any crime but if the teenager wanted those shoes so badly why not just shoplift them rather than commit first degree murder? I mean is the kid so dumb that he could not sit back and think for a second... either I could rip them off from a store and potentially face a slap on the wrists or I could commit first degree murder for them and potentially face a severe prison sentence and ruin the rest of my life. Plus they would not have been fakes if he had shoplifted them.

or he and his 4 buddies could have just jumped the kid and took the shoes without shooting him to death. I mean there were 5 of them and they were older...........
