I wonder if the real story on this guy will come out now. There's no way he's still concussed. And even if he was, he never spent any time with the team. I could sure as hell think of a lot worse things than to be traded from a shitty Minnesota team to the Cup winners.

Michael Russo, one of the MN Wild beat reporters, says Johnsson has been back at his home in MN for over a month.

What the hell, I am really curious what went on. I mean personally I wouldnt have minded having him on the backend over boynton/hendry, not that we needed him i guess.

Neither is Bickell's. He sure didn't seem to mind.

Isn't one of the criteria that you have to play at least one playoff game? Bickell played 2 or 3

41 regular season games or 4 playoff games to get your name on the cup.

Hopefully they'll petition to get Bickell's & Boynton's names on the cup.

Would really love to see Dale's name on the Cup. Is that possible?

It's 41 regular season or 1 Final game as far as I know. Boynton definitely will, but I'm not sure Bickell qualifies.

It's definitely a concussion. There is a way he's still concussed.

Boyntons name goes on he played 2 SC games. Bickell would have to be a petition. Tallon was with the team for more than 41 regular season so I would "guess" it automatically goes on.

How? Savard had a worse concussion and has already recovered. I don't buy it.

How do you know Savard had a worse concussion? The MORE concussions you have, the worse they get. Johnsson is on his 7th. Savard thought his career was over and that was his 2nd. Not 7th.

Again I've been told it's a concussion. So has someone else I know. It's a concussion. Career ending. Johnsson is a UFA why would the Hawks announce that and possibly end his career that way?

You don't pass the physical regiment upon return, you don't take the ice. He can't pass the physical regiment. It's really just that easy Razz.

not sure they were ever really his team mates were they? Did he play enough games to feel a bond with them?

You could be right Razz, I just don't think so. I think he can't stand up straight at times.

Fair enough. I guess when it keeps getting called "day-to-day" it just doesn't sound like a career ending injury.

You can second guess his condition all you want.

The key point is "Was he cleared to participate by a doctor?"

How much of this season did Willie Mitchell miss? Out since mid-late January, right? It was reported that he was not around the team much during that time, and even after the 'Nucks season ended was he complaining of headaches and such.

And yes I am aware that people want to buy into that rumor that he got it on or made a pass at another players' wife/girlfriend. But why would they pull him out during a game if that was true (seems like before or after would be more appropriate)...and don't team reported concussions need to be provided to the league and NHLPA (with the league regularly checking the player to clear them). No way this rumor could have been hidden from all sides.

It is more than possible that a player with a history of concussions to still be out and away from the team. concussions are a real *****.

As far as day to day, no need to place any player that close to the end of the season on IR or LRIR for the 'Hawks...and definitely no reason to have that status during the playoffs.

Forgot all about the guy to be honest. And don't actually care.

I was fine with Hendry and Boytons performances in these playoffs. Doesn't look like the team needed Johnsson.

I feel worse for Barker.
