That argument can definitely be made, based on the fact that the Bulls are a more popular brand...the thing is, on a global scale, its about winning. Durant has been overshadowed at times by an allstar caliber point guard while Rose doesn't have a second guy that good. Its going to be interesting to see who wins that race to the top.

Rose will be the bigger star. 1) He plays in a major market, world class city, with a rabid sports following; 2) He's featured not only in his shoe commercials, but almost every NBA commercial, & several ESPN & NBA 2K ones; 3) He's growing a big international following thanks to his trip to China a couple years ago to playing in the World Championships in Turkey; & 4) And this is the main reason why his star is sky-rocketing right, He's so damned exciting to watch! Every play could be something amazing & there's very few players who can capture the fan's attentions & keep them on the edge of their seat like Rose can.

i beg to differ. A crap ton of fans, a lot of attention, media calling attention to the lack of calls, it ought to help him get to the line more often. Sadly refs listen to the media and nba officials.
