I hate it too. It's basically a popularity contest. Yankees and Red Sox always win. And recently the Rangers do too.

I'm just tired of Teixera or A gon getting in just because they play for the Red Sox or Yankees.
Half the yankees and red sox that get in don't even deserve it that current year, but because they're the popular names the fans vote for them.
I like to actually vote for the players that deserve it when I vote. I don't vote for only my team or just the big names. I actually take into consideration how everyone is playing. Because despite it being a joke, that goes onto a players record. Like Chris Sale All-star pitcher. And he deserves that.
Leads the AL in ERA and wins. Top 10 in Ks. And it's his first year as a starter.

A.J. is the best catcher in the league this year statistically, and he isnt even in the top 3. I think I smell bullshit. If Brent Morel was a Yankee he would be the starter.

It's ridiculous that Texeira who is having a really bad season will probably be the starter.
Fan vote sucks. And the fact that the home field advantage is chosen by fans and let alone the all-star game itself.
It's basically saying whichever league has the better superstars gets to have home field advantage. The only reason they keep it that way is because otherwise the ratings for the game would go way down.
