I liked what Kopecky provided in his time here. A solid presence in the bottom two lines and a guy that could play center or wing. That said I am not losing sleep over the loss of Kopecky.

I was never a fan of Tomas. I was convinced him and Hossa had naked pictures of Bowman or Q that allowed him to stay on those top lines

Bad scenario: Frolik gets a big dumb contract and they bring in 1 big name from somewhere. The rest of the roster holes are plugged with youth from the system.
Good scenario: Frolik and Campoli are signed for fair, 2-4 year deals and a few solid mid level guys are picked up/traded for.
I keep being surprised by what's happening. So much has happened already and there's still a lot to go.

TKop was a bum. He couldn't skate, was horrible in his own zone, and was only decent offensively with Hossa. I am pretty sure any of us could strap on some skates and be decent offensively when paired with Hossa.

They got something out of a player that was asking for way too much money for his skill. Good deal. I'm sure most complainers to him being traded would be complaining just the same if the story reported him being signed for 2.15 Mil
I feel Olesz is getting every chance to stay aboard now and will be the player replacement for Kopecky. Hopefully he can harness some of his skill.
