I hope Krause gets in...he is justified based on what he did for the Bulls...most people have no idea of Bach's contributions to the game outside of his tenure with the Bulls...

After how terribly Krause messed up the Bulls at the end, I am pretty indifferent about whether or not he gets in. I'd be happy for him. But, honestly, if a FO person makes the Basketball Hall Of Fame then they should be held to a very, very high standard.

Meh, why not? I would throw Krause into a shark tank if I could, but at the end of the day, it's just more bragging rights for the Bulls organization.

6 titles in 8 years is a high enough standard in my book...

Any GM that inherits a player like Jordan should just thank their lucky stars and enjoy the ride.

...because that is how Jordan won championships between 1984 and 1990...or did he?

If Krause just sat back and "thanked his lucky stars"...the Bulls wouldn't have 6 rings...believe that.

Krause traded for Pippen and that was his one "brilliant" move that allowed the Bulls to win those championships. Horace Grant was a great signing too but was a very obvious pick to make at the time it happened.

Jordan was bound to win championships... plural... make no mistake about it. He could have done it with less talent than he had around him. Hell, even Pippen would not have been this perennial All-star Hall Of Fame player if it hadn't been for Jordan. And not to mention that Phil Jackson would have likely ended up the coach no matter what to give Jordan and his supporting cast the backbone that team needed to win consistently.

What makes you think Phil Jackson would have been the coach "no matter what"? Just read this...do you know the story? Do you know he FORCED JACKSON ON TWO DIFFERENT COACHES? Phil Jackson would be some honorary chief of a tribe in Montana all this time if it wasn't for Jerry Krause.

Phil Jackson was discovered by Jerry Krause. Krause also insisted on using the triangle offense...Tex Winter was his idea. He fired Collins for the Triangle offense. It wasn't just Pippen...you are understating what happened.

Even Pippen was a pretty obvious choice. Many teams wanted him. To give a ton of credit to Krause for making a good pick at #5 overall is a bit much.

NBA Draft 1987 - Scottie Pippen (Pick NO.5) - YouTube

I don't understand your reasoning...what does "obvious" have to do with it. Oden was the "obvious" pick...he didn't do well and that GM was out of a job. Krause deserves credit and blame for every move he made...

I'm with heff here. Krause was brilliant. Pippen, Grant, Jackson, Kukoc, Rodman. He built and then rebuilt the bulls.

I also think he pioneered being bad and getting as far under the cap as possible and then bring in 2-3 big name FAs. He trid this back in the 00s. When he broke up the bulls and set his sights on Duncan, and McGrady.

And I'm sure ig duncan and tmac signed and joined elton brand, all would've been forgotton when it comes to breaking up the bulls a year too early.

I also believe the bulls would've been in good shape had he just allowed the team to age and retire. If he kept Brian Williams/Bisen Dele and teams up with kukoc, and keeps jackson, then replace jordan and pippen and rodman, they'd still have a very formidable team. Especially in the weak east.

But this will make seven hofers from the bulls dynasty. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Jackson, Winter, Krause, and Bach. With Kukoc next to join. How many do the celtics have including coaches?
