Krol has a bad attitude, professionally speaking. He was not a good fit for the Fire. I don't think he's a 'bad' player, but he needs to mature and accept that he needs coaching--which is why he was out on loan from Jagallonia for so long. His natural position is as a left back, but the downside to that is he is too offensive-minded. Normally not a complaint I have, but when you're listed as a left back and the left wing has to drop to cover left back b/c your left back is too high and too slow to recover his position, it is more detrimental than helpful. Does that make sense? He rides too high for a defender and is too slow to recover from high up on the pitch if/when the ball is turned over--and he turned the ball over once he got into the offensive 3rd too.
That being said, he was in Chicago for 8 months before
he married a playmate and during a game where he was on red card suspension he came over to the Section and the capos
invited him up into the capo stand (something not normally done for outsiders).....so he does have a bit of a reputation among
certain groups. Also, there is the fact that during the annual golf outing he got a bit crazy and crashed a golf cart too (not posting pics of that though.......yeah....he was a fun guy to be around and all, but he won't be back at the Fire. We may see him in Toronto, but at the rate they go through players, I kind of feel bad for him there.
