I saw it all last year during the Arizona game and the other blowout we had (I forgot...) Now this. The defense looked fired up the first possession, but that's IT. I've been saying good teams finish strong, which is what we were doing, but I also say good teams play like their job is on the line every game. Didn't look that way against NE.

We got blown out against Cincinnati, Arizona, Minnesota, and Baltimore last year.

those losses were painful to watch indeed, but this year the D kept us in nearly every game I can think of except last week, so I wouldn'T worry that much

Did they looked fired up that first possession or are you just saying that because they got a sack and a 3 and out? Defenses always look intense when theyre kicking someones ass(see 2nd half of the 2nd game vs Detroit) and they dont when theyre getting run through(see 1st half of the 2nd game vs Detroit).

Neither the offense or the defense is consistent. You never know what's going to show up on the field.

The defense played fairly well, the two early scoring drives aside and Tillman's fuckup aside. They sure didn't give up in that game.

I keep hearing Bear fans say the "the defense kept us in nearly every game" where in world do you people come up with this Bull Shit. If the Defense was as good some of you think then no one would be scoring any points on us. This year it has been more like the Offense scoring more points in most of the game over coming the lack of our Defense to keep the other team from scoring. Hell the Defense tried there best in the first half of the Loins game to give them a win.

Our defenses havent exactly played great offenses. I think theyre great and all but on average theyve played the 17.46 ranked defenses. A few of the top ones(NE, PHI, DAL. GB) and more of the bottom(CAR,MIN,WAS,SEA,MIA,BUF). You can even argue that DAL is better now than when we played them. We didnt shut down PHI either.

Neither phase has played as well as they should.
