And you guys want to shit on a QB starting his 13th career game...

Hang this loss where it is deserved, which is an absolutely miserable 2nd half defensive performance especially by the secondary, who not only forgot to cover and catch INT's, but also failed to tackle after the catch.

The Packers didn't punt the football in the entire 2nd half and they scored on every drive yet "Trubisky just doesn't have it".

If Trubisky wasn’t such a *****, I would have thought the fix was in.

I like Eddie Jackson but there's no way you leave your feet to make a play on the ball at that stage of the game.

How in the word was Floyd and Mack the only two players downfield trying a tackle on Cobb? No deep help on a final drive when they needed a TD. How does Fangio even think about calling that defense?

Because the safety left his feet and played the ball instead of working through the receiver...

the D completely collapsed in the 2nd half. Nobody stepped up to make a BIG play when we really needed them to. If Fuller holds on to that INT, if Mack or Hicks come through with a big sack when the Pack are at 3rd and long on any of those 2nd half-TD drives, we win the game.

The offense scored 16 points last night. Fox's Bears averaged 16.5. Trubs had 171 yards this game. Fox's Bears averaged 175.7 yards passing. There is plenty of blame to go around but pretending like the Offense and their QB wasn't a large part of the problem is horeshit.

It was a garbage passing offense at a spot that we have the no 2 overall pick and invested in a 12 million WR, 7 Million WR, a 2nd round WR (traded up), and a 8 million TE.

After all of that to end up with finishing no better than the John Fox Bears is pathetic. We spent all this money at WR and TE only to essentially end up stuck in the exact same place against a subpar passing defense (GB was 23rd against the pass last year). Ya'll was praising how great and dynamic this offense was going to be and how much better than Fox and now making excuses for it performing just as bad as Fox.

It's just 1 game lol.

Also, we have the highest paid defensive player ever. Hicks, Goldman, Fuller, etc. also got plenty of dough too. They shit the bed in the second half against a hobbled Rodgers. Zero sacks, zero QB hurries. Piss poor tackling and playcalling.

Pick your poison on who deserves the most blame but bottom line is it was a team effort to choke that bad.

But of course Trubisky is the lighting rod for most of the criticism per usual. Sorry he's not playing like prime Tom Brady in week 1.

3 years, 2 of which had no WRs and TEs as good as this team so that excuse doesn't fly. Further, the great Jay Cutler had 225 yards in Fox's first game and the team put up 23 points against the Packers so again the excuse doesn't fly.

It's just 1 game lol.

No one is disputing the D dropped the ball in the 2nd half but 16 PPG is not going to cut it and the premise of the OP is trying to shift blame away from the offense.

A D giving up 24 points with a Defensive score is net 17 points. That is more than good enough to win. By contrast, an O scoring 16 points is not good enough.

GB went to some quick plays because they were getting eaten alive up front. They ran exclusively shotgun in the second half and Rodgers was unleashing the ball twice as fast. Kwik being in the middle really hurt. Still don't know why people like him.

That said, when gb went down the field and the d held them to a Fg, they were back on the field thirty seconds later. Come down score a td to make it 20-10, and were back on the field another thirty seconds after that. It was the worst possible outcome. They gave the d no chance to rest, and pretty much no chance to adjust.
